3:01 It's worth noting that in Egypt, the expression "there will be fire if" (الدنيا هتولع) is a very common expression about making a big fuss. Salah might have blurted out the translation not thinking about how it would land in English

Salah probably doesn't realize it, and maybe doesn't want to, but that afternoon at West Ham, he disrespected Klopp, and by extension, a large part of the fanbase. Disappointment at being dropped is fine, and expected for ultra-competitive players, but to publicly row with your Manager, who makes the team selections, is disrespectful, and sees oneself as bigger than the Manager, bigger than the Team. If Klopp's leaving this summer is even slightly part of the reason for Salah's reaction to being on the bench, then that shows an mercenary nature in Salah, to only respect the Manager when he is a fixture, but not when he is in his final months at the Club. Everyone loves Mo Salah for all he has done for the club, but Liverpool is never, has never been about one superstar player. Even Gerrard, Fowler, Torres, Suarez never dared publicly row with the boss. Mo Salah is not bigger than these legends.

I fully expect Salah to leave us this summer, it's funny how this so-called "Salah staying" announcement just came following Monday after Salah & Klopp public fallout doing West Ham game early Saturday afternoon. Liverpool's point of view would be don't want to show potential buying clubs looking for cheap deal on Salah with this incident. Business is business that's football nowadays.

*edit* ignore my comment, didn't realise that salah started this with ignoring klopps handshake. Just seen the video salah is in the wrong All the media establishment are parroting the same lines "How can salah do that to someone he owes his career to?!" "How can he complain when his form hasn't been great" "He should apologise" Without recognising 1 simple fact, he didn't just react like that completely out of the blue, he reacted SPECIFICALLY to something Klopp said to him- now yes most things a manager would say to a player shouldn't have that reaction but we don't know what was said... So I'm unsure why they're painting him immediately as the trouble maker without finding out the facts- isn't that the journalists job?

Mo has earned the right to do whatever he feels is best for him. He's always part of the family. He is a giant of the game and while I hope he will stay until he retires, if he decides to go elsewhere then I will respect his decision, but I REALLY want him to stay. Even if his form has dipped a bit this season after his injury, I don't honestly care. I would like him to apologise to Klopp as he is the manager of the team and if any player disagreed with a tactical decision then he should talk to him in private. The same applies the other way, after all we are not Manchester United........................................ Even if he goes on a free, the club has more than got their money's worth from him, but if he is intending on going then I would hope he wouldn't harm the club and by extension the fans by going on a free, it would just be beneath Mo, he seems like he has so much love for the club. Mo, if you're reading this you are out family, we just want you to be happy and enjoy your football, we know your quality and impact on the pitch beyond just scoring the amazing goals you do. Personally I want you to get the Ballon d'Or, even if you don't you have earned the respect, affection and love of all the family at Liverpool FC, for me you are the definition of a living ledgend. Thank you and your team mates efforts, sacrifice and enthusiasm this year. YNWA

Salah shouldn't have had a go at Klopp like that, publicly. I doubt he'll do that again, and I've never seen him do it before. He should have had that conversation privately. But at the end of the day he's only human. We've all fallen short of the standards we set ourselves at times. We can all call it out, but I doubt any of us have earned the right to be pious about it. It's a perfectly human thing to do, and the amount of online talk and column inches written about it say more about us than it does about Klopp or Salah. It's not a big deal, and it says nothing other than he's frustrated about being dropped when he's not used to that.

I think that what he did well was the result of many pressures and problems, such as that the way of playing changed and he remained far from the goal greatly, and his role remained limited to making more than scoring + He sits on the bench for a lot of matches, and this is definitely something that annoys Salah and makes him angry

Another player who will taint his legacy along with the likes of Mcmanaman Owen Mascherano Suarez Torres and Mane.. I'm still amazed Torres got a good reception at the Legends game.. He sulked his way out of the club when the team and the fans needed him most and then went and signed for one of our hated rivals.. I have a feeling Salah will do the same to Slot if the team don't get off to a reasonable start next season.

Of course they are saying they are committed to Salah. And James Peace, you fundamentally misunderstand how Michael Edwards thinks when you suggest that he is a "Salah fan." Edwards recognized that Salah was a great VALUE when they scooped him up from Roma years ago. Their analytics will tell them that, no, players RARELY "return to form" as they age. They will have very clear statistical expectations for Salah for next year and it is nearly impossible for Salah to be worth leaving 50+ million in transfer fees on the table.

He's past his prime etc etc, and it's about time he was moved on to pastures new, wherever it happens to be. He'll be a malign influence in the dressing room, apart from anything else, if he stays. I'm with Klopp all the way. How many games has Sadat been crap in and not taken off? And finally, the frustration with Salah underperforming got the better of him, which is fair enough, given how underwhelming he's been recently. Anyway, I'd better stop now. Get rid, say I.
