I am a newbie......but I too, think, longer is better. Its just that I get so excited to plant them that I rush the process
This is a great video. I never knew there was a long method to establish water roots. I have just gone straight to Leca and so far so good. I have lost one begonia, but the rest survived. Next plant I will try the long method. Thanks again for being informative!!!

After 'completion' of the long method, would you still soak your leca balls in the special sauce or soak them in a deluded fertilizer?
What is exactly the “ long method” and what would be the benefit?

How do you make your solution? I know the 2 ingredients but the long method video didnt really go into detail on the mixing it that I could find. Please help!
What solution is in the water
Nora can you explain why it's not a shock to put plants roots straight from soil into the CCS/Nutrient solution using the long method but using the straight skills to Leca method the roots need to avoid touching the CCS until the water roots turn and grow down into the CCS? It's really confusing to me

It is still a shock which is why some of the roots die. I have some videos I will be releasing soon that explain it better. I am not a great communicator using text, in fact I despise texting, I prefer to explain things properly by talking cause I am too lazy to type. Hope you can hold on till then.
