It's cool until it's not... I had a similar build in Uni, played defensive end for 2 different D1 schools. Shirts don't fit right, especially jackets or anything long sleeve, and weird things are difficult like reaching back for the seatbelt, my shoulders and arms made it so I had to rotate in the seat and grab it with the other arm or ask the person in the back to push it up to my hand. It wasn't as bad as some dudes there were a few guys that couldn't even wipe their ass. But it was annoying enough to want to slim down.

It's a false sense of security. Anyone who can't access the occupants thinks one dimensionally. Shoot the tires and radiator, pour a gallon of diesel on the car, and light it up. You will get out the vehicle real fast when you start cooking. Heck you don't even need the diesel. Buy a 4 pack of road flares for $5, and put one under each tire and again, you will come out, or cook. Now you might say, "but you can drive on flats, we won't just sit there and get killed". Sure, but that's why you shoot the radiator too. You can slowly drive off for a little bit, but you will overheat and friction lock the motor in about 5 minutes, and with flats, you will be easy to keep up with. Once the motor stops, fire up the barbecue!

@Steven-gv1ke
3 жыл бұрын
@@user-oy9zy4ds9m nice try, I was a mechanic for 25 years, you can't "armor" a radiator. You clearly don't understand how a radiator works. It has to have unrestricted airflow through it or it won't cool the engine properly. Even a lot of bugs in your radiator can be enough to cause cooling issues. If you stuck armor plating in front of the radiator, you would block all air flow to it, and your vehicle would over heat in 5 minutes and ruin the motor. So no, you can armor plate a radiator. Also read up on "run flat" tires. They are not designed to drive at high speeds without air. Last time I read about them you could only do maybe 45 mph tops. Anyone will easily keep up with you doing 45 mph until your engine overheats from the radiator being punctured. So technically, run flats would help a little, but you are still going to be in trouble if you don't find a police station to get to in 5 minutes or so before your car overheats.

I am impressed. At this point with all the freeway shootings happening in Chicago I'm tempted to ante up the money and have at least my wife's car armored. But it'd probably be less expensive to just move away to a nicer place.

Probably best to move out…can’t believe the volume of freeway shootings in Chicago. Makes NY look tame. If I had the means I would purchase one of these and do a CharlieBo drive through the hoods of the US for KZread. No chance surviving without an armored car though
Impressive, most impressive!
I'm really happy he packed the mag after shooting the .357
If someone shoots the tires and radiator, then uses a $2 road flare to light the front and rear tires on fire, how long will the armor keep them from hoping out the Mercedes slow cooker?

Even if these didn't, cars can still move enough on flat tyres and unless you knew this car was bulletproof, you won't first aim for the radiator as it does not get knocked out by just 1 bullet giving the driver time to get away.

You would have to trap the car e.g. with other vehicles because it is equipped with run flat tires. And these cars are usually operated in a convoy, meaning that you would need to conduct your road flare operation while being mag-dumped by multiple operators :D But it is not secret, that you could successfully ambush an armored vehicle with a roadside bomb or an rpg

@@X33Ultras0und so you think a car on flats can out run a vehicle giving chase that has air in the tires? You clearly have never been in a chase or combat situation. I spent 7 years in the military and 3 of those years was in the middle east. This isn't some video game you played. In real life, you don't outrun a vehicle while you have flats and they don't. Also yes, people who are even semi trained killers will shoot your radiator first to eventually disable the engine. In fact, fairly often, they will use multiple large vehicles to box you in from the front and rear and then you won't be going anywhere.

@@j.s.6080 your response was the only logical one here. I absolutely agree if it's in a convoy, it would work. Without armed security around it though, it would be easy to circumvent the armor with basic various methods.
God Is my protection!!! Still very nice work on these rigs. If I ever get a chance get my LX570 rigged up would be a nice to have on my list.

@@Steven-gv1ke Amateur, armored vehicles have run flat tires and the radiator got armor in front of it so your AR won't do shit. They usually got fire extinguisher systems that will stop any fire, so your attacks are pointless. And you forgot that anyone who got a armored vehicle won't travel alone, their Bodyguards will lit your ass if you try something.
It's kind of weird that I'm seeing this video today, because last night I had a dream that the midget mafia had it hit on me so I went and bought a bulletproof car. But since they were midgets I bought a convertible.

If you take into consideration, that the first and mayor rule in ambushes with VIP‘s is, to drive away from the scene as fast as possible, there is no way, the car can be penetrated. With a RPG probably. But this is most unlikely to hit a fast moving car. So always keep it driving in clear sight.
The best "armor" is the ability to fight back and make your prosecutor the prosecuted.

Not true at all just an ignorant statement. If someone sneaks up on you and unloads 100 rounds into your vehicle you will be very thankful for this car armor

@@jamesball8519 I'm not saying armor isn't important. But if s.o. has 100 rounds he probably has another 500, probably delivered by multiple shooters in different vehicles. And what i'm saying is basically, that in such situation no armor will save s.o. a**. And instead of investing in bigger and heavier armor (that gives you the profile of an aircraftcarrier and makes you slow af) you should simply have more "company" to turn the situation around.
