He could almost if not totally match Thor in his reserved state, so a Kratos at the end of the game, fully in war mode with quality tools to fight with, against a Thor who can't heal a large injury due to the Eitr on Kratos' Axe? It was wraps. There's also the fact that the first fight was being hyped from 2018.

7:29 To put more emphasis on how insane this moment is, I’ve played every god of war game you can get on the PlayStation without getting a psp and the last time kratos took an L that bad was what Zeus did to him in the beginning of God of War 2, what Thor did to him here is undeniably one of the most disrespectful thing a god has done to him, imagine fighting a god and they kill you…but they found the fight with you so boring that they resurrect you just so they can absolutely get the fight they want! I mean Assuming Odin knows about Kratos’s curse (not the family’s ashes one, the immortality) there’s a chance Thor knows too One way or another, he’s coming back, why stop the fight?

Kratos was mad holding back for the whole fight, and Thor could tell, thats why when he hit Thor with that right hook Thor new he had won. He wasn’t trying to kill him (thats why he bought him back), he just wanted to fuck up Kratos’ streak of being chill and make him ashamed of himself for letting himself feel those emotions again.

Throughout god of war Thor was relegated to being nothing more than Odin’s attack dog. The Jotun dont want to give up their secrets? Sic thor on them and have him singlehandedly drive them to extinction. Kratos getting in your way? Have thor beat his ass. Loki needs help finding the mask? Let thor kill everything in his path while Loki finds it. During round 2 it was more Kratos motivating Thor to finally stand up for himself against his father and prove hes more than just Odin’s muscle, that he can *be better* .

Here Thor was giving Kratos a CHANCE. he wanted talked it out over some drinks and hopefully come up with some alt plan that didn't end in bloodshed But Odin had to come in and ruined it all with his instigating ass.

not true the whole reason Thor was nice and not ready to fight from the beginning was because of Odin, Odin wanted to speak to Kratos first to get them to stop looking for tyr but when Kratos refused, he gave Thor the go ahead. that's why Thor says during the beginning of the fight when he hits Kratos in the face with the hammer he says" I been waiting for this."

If KRATOS had the BLADE OF OLYMPUS it would’ve been over for thor in an instant

It wouldnt have mattered tho. Kratos was willingly holding back so as to not accidentally hit thor a little too hard forcing him to run crying to odin abt it. Even if he had it, he wouldnt have used it.

You definitely got to do part two where he gets his comback against Thor, and especially so when he humbles Heimdall!!
