Yeah, I have a degree of face blindness (on the spectrum) and have issues recognizing people. I've walked by people I know, and not even realized it. Other times, I see someone that I think I recognize, and can't really tell. It can cause some awkward (comical) situations.

Not technically an only child, but my half brothers were in college by the time I was in elementary school, so I grew up doing the same thing.
