It was my favorite chocolate 10 years ago, but since they made it overpriced & reduced its weight in India, so I shifted to Cadbury 5Star, it makes you satisfied, even if you pay just ₹10 ($ 0.7)

Wow incredible the amount of high tech work that goes into this old chocco waffer biscuit. I will look at my KitKat in a different light from now on. I would like to see older footage of the making in the factory that had more hands-on with people. That would be really interesting.😀

Touring this factory would have been a dream for my mom; Kit Kat was her all-time favorite "candy bar" until she passed away. This never gets old for me, the seer ingenuity of machinery to make the many things we enjoy.

I am amazed to see how creative and intelligent human mind is like hats off to people who invented these machines which make our favourite snacks.

I know that various factories have been in operation for many years but I am always in awe of the creativity, vision, and engineering feat for these factories. Especially now adays with everything being factory produced. Years ago I made the pizza dough fresh every morning (Dough Master) at a local pizza store for a national chain. Well no more made fresh dough at the neighborhood location, the dough comes frozen on the delivery truck all they do is put the toppings on and bake.

Would love to see how these machines are cleaned and sanitized.

This wasn't a program about how things are actually made, so much as its about how different items are finally assemble together to form the foods we love to eat.

I used to live near the City of York in England where the Rowntree factory was located that made the original Kit Kat. The streets near the factory smelled of chocolate all the time. In fact my father used to grow sugar beet as he was a farmer and the sugar produced from his beet went straight into Kit Kats.

Many years ago, on our first trip to Germany, we took the train from Zurich to Innsbruck. Having purchased our Eurail passes in the States, the only ticket we could buy was first class. Each time the train stopped the conductor came through the car and handed out Kit Kat bars and a box of orange juice. By the time we got to Innsbruck we had a backpack full of them. They sure came in handy later as we had a fast schedule and would sometimes just eat a couple rather than stop at a restaurant for a full meal, allowing us to see and do more with the time saved.

Summary of KitKat video: Chocolate pours into a giant tub. Suddenly wafers appear out of nowhere and cool. Wafers are coated, stacked, and then inexplicably break into perfectly sized pieces. Lots more globbing with random chocolate and more machines and eventually they are packaged.

Amazing!…though way back when Kit Kat was still wrapped in foil, a white sheet and the kit kat logo sheet, the chocolate was way more delicious then it is today!…can’t understand why certain items change their palate with time 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😔

Was this the kit kat factory in York? My uncle used to work there a long time ago. When he came visiting i remember crates of kit kats that lasted all year. One of britains best confection inventions. These and skittles/starburst (formally opal fruits.) Skittles are actually little balls of starburst with a coloured sugar shell on the outside. Genius, selling the same product 2 times over!

The whole process is just so satisfying! Who else agrees?
