Same with Brady, Foles, Purdy, happens all the time. At the end of the day, if you’re on a team then clearly you’ve got some ability. Maybe not as much as a starter, but you don’t know if don’t have a chance to show it so you always gotta be ready

He wasn’t the fastest or most athletic on the field but you could just tell by watching him play that he prepared and worked hard to build that chemistry with Tom. Because at the time Edelman's career highs were 37 catches and 359 yards, both in his rookie year. He was a guy who flashed dynamic quickness but could never stay healthy long enough to grow as a receiver until the team was basically forced to play him. The ability was always there, as evidenced by the fact he had 4 punt return touchdowns between 2010-14.

Kind of weird that Edelman went to High School with Jerry Rice's Daughter , and went to the Prom with her. Tom Brady went to High school 5 Miles North from Edelman . Both Guys were 49ers Fans , Both Got Drafted by the Patriots . Jerry Rice has 3 SB Rings out of 4 SBs / 1 SB MVP . Edelman has 3 SB Rings out of 4 SBs / 1 SB MVP . Both have Countless Playoff and SB Records at WR . Both Played with the GOAT QB of All Time Tom Brady / Julian Edelman , and Joe Montana / Jerry Rice
