@@yeahhdatsm the first time he was asked to take a pay cut to get under the cap. He refused. Went to Cincinnati for less then came back to the Steelers for less than what they originally offered. The second time he asked to be released. It was time because he was ineffective in the SB with NE.

That game against the ravens in 07 was the most impressive display by any player in the history of the NFL. I encourage anyone to go watch it and tell me otherwise. He was in on almost every play. It was unreal.

Certified hall of fame. A player like that deserves to be in canton. Playmaker and a game changer. The man embodies hall of fame and for damn sure played like one. 🥂 give this man his statue and yellow jacket.

5:58 - feels alright. You know damn well he wanted to talk some smack. Amazing performance by any football player period. James is the man.

He'll always be to me one of the best ever to play for the Steelers. One of the top Steelers of all time

I’ll never forget watching that Ravens game live. Man that was a good time to be a Steelers fan, and also still be young enough to drink way too much beer watching the game.

I remember when he was signed back in 02 and you could see the scary talent this dude had but his attitude and giving up just didn't do anything for Cowher. I hated when Baltimore picked him up. They would have had one of the scariest LB'ing Corps....ever. Thank god it didn't last.

Great great player especially that ravens game. If you remember the ravens were also loaded at linebackers them same years. So they had no room. Glad they cut him

I’m not a Steelers fan but it was a lot of fun watching James Harrison and Lamar Woodley attack the edges together

I remember being at the Bills Steelers game in '04 at the end of the season. Steelers already had their playoff spot secured so they played their backups. Harrison returns a fumble for a touchdown and had a hell of a game. I remember thinking to myself, why isn't he a starter?

James Harrison was using his madden cards during the game to be unstoppable like that. 💪💯🔥🔥🔥🔥

I remember watching that game live.. still one of the best games, probably only topped by the superbowl wins. Harrison's 99 yard interception return in the superbowl was amazing and underrated as a top play in superbowl history.

Man at 3:50 Troy like floats over to tell him he did a good jon. I’d just about have to bawl out of happiness at that point. Also Labeau calling you a “ball player”. Great little couple of pieces about James.

I really want to see James in a gold HOF blazer!

He was perfect for the Steelers and the way they played. He fit that organization so well. He was great at forcing fumbles and now TJ Watt is the next great LB for the Steelers

Good god I still remember that Ravens game n get chills!!! Still got silverbacks jersey n still remember Steelers getting James back in 2004, noticed cause liked Jason gildon before, James was levels above.

As a Browns Fan, nothing but respect for him, dude was a straight up beast! Those xtiller teams had without a doubt the leagues best linebackers..

It was so much fun watching James and Troy play on the field together

I watched that Ravens game and remember it like it was yesterday! (mainly cause Ed reed got destroyed twice: once by James and another by Hines) but also because it was James’ coming out party. Like he literally played like a man possessed that night. That’s the type of stuff you can talk to your children and children’s children about when you get old talking to them about football legends of your time
