I love hatch, without him survivor wouldn’t be what it is today, and they didn’t let him onto 40.

With all that filming, I don't understand why we don't get more survivor. Even if it's a late night episode with the cast just sitting around, or enjoying the island. I want more 😭

@@8bitmagic Not a good idea with longer episodes. We have now Survivor for Czech and Slovaks and its tragedy. Do you know why? Because one episode is almost 2,5 hours long and its soo booring, because in that one episode is max 2 chllanges without tribal council or 1 challange and tribal council. I saw 9 episodes already and they are still not in merge and a loooot of people still remaining. So USA 45 minutes episodes are masterpiece.

Rich I think you were so WRONGED by Survivor taking you off of Season 40 last minute like that! But I do love your new KZread Channel... I would also love it if you would do commentary videos about strategy in the game, or what Life Leasons playing Survivor taught you

Hi, Richard, I appreciate your clear, focused, intelligent contributions to the KZread community. I found out you were filming from a commentor on the Russell Hantz channel. Lol. He is an interesting character in his own right, and I appreciate his contributions too. But I was never really a fan of his. When I saw the first season, you seemed a bit cocky and arrogant too. But at least your observations about people made sense because we could actually see how they were “performing” or “under-performing”, or “not performing;” and your observations made total sense. It appeared you were merely trying to get people to actually just PLAY the game more adroitly. Russell, on the other hand, had a basic underlying contempt for people; and the names-calling: “stupid,” “idiot,” “fools” were used quite often and underscored his apparently basic contempt for anyone who wasn’t playing the game the way he was playing it. So there was a major difference between your and his gameplay. I appreciate the fact that your videos are short, to-the-point and rambling and distraction-free. They are always instructive, interesting and educational. Thank you for letting us get to know you beyond the boundaries of the game and for clearing up the whole “tax evasion” affair. I had always wondered how someone as intelligent as you could not have paid his taxes. We all know that the long arm of the IRS likes to reach for their cut of anybody’s earnings. so many people were perplexed about your seemingly not knowing. Your contributions really help round out and amplify understanding of the game among us “Survivor” fans. 👏🙏😘

Except there is never any filming shown when the contestants are going to and from challenges. I've often wondered if that was a period of time where you are not allowed to speak to each other, strategize, etc.

So all you said was you were filmed 24hs and not HOW it was filmed and the title suggested. Awesome job.

Do you know of a survivor KZreadr named peridiam? And if so do you think you could ever reach out and do a collab with him? You’re both really interesting survivor content creators and I would love to see a video where you two can discuss the game!

All that makes sense. What I don't understand is for example in the premiere last week of season 40... After they climbed the "Box Steps" in the challenge, they had a shot underwater of a contestant (can't remember who) diving in, but a second later they had an aerial view of the challenge with no camera crew or anything in sight. I'm still thinking about how the hell they did that lol

Hi richard, I’m a massive survivor fan from Australia and love the behind the scenes stuff and they make the show. I have a question for you. Before going on the show, do they warn you or prepare you for the amount of behind the scenes or film crew that are going on around you? Does it take some time for the ‘average jo’ off the street to get comfortable with being filmed or followed by camera crew 24hrs a day?

@@abetolmie7188 Good point. But that could change. BB pushes out 3 episodes a wk plus live feeds. No reason Survivor can't push 1 episode a wk plus live feeds if they wanted to.

The crew always runs the course with staff. Allowing the production crew to figure out the best camera angles. Also they explain everything to the contestants in great detail, the contestants can ask questions and get answers. Once everyone understands what’s going on then we hear what Jeff always says on television “come on out guys” and the battle begins.

Are you going to even watch s40?

As mentioned by other commenters It would be so Bitchin if they gave us more tribal Council time, more of the discussions that are going on some bloopers, fails, crashes, etc etc. We’re only getting a very small glimpse that is all specifically edited. You’re the only survivor that represented your lifestyle in a positive way that everyone can understand with no judgment or animosity. Congratulations on your win.
