How Intuitive Machines Nova C Landed on the Moon

Ғылым және технология

What makes this Nova-C Lunar Lander so special?
The Nova-C is the first spacecraft of its kind powered by cryogenic propellants consisting of liquid methane and liquid oxygen.
Once the Lunar lander completes its journey and softly lands on the Moon, it will mark the first privately-led mission to do so.
Lastly, this presents an opportunity for the United States to softly touch down on the Moon's surface since the last Apollo mission in the year 1972.
The Intuitive Machines lunar lander boasts dimensions of four meters in length, 1.57 meters in width, and a lift-off mass of 4,200-pound, Measuring it's six standing legs.

Chang'e 2 is a Chinese moon probe and NOT a lander! Even so, it weighs 2480 kg which is considerably bigger than Nova-C mass of 675 kg, and yet the graphics show Chang'e 2 to be considerably smaller than Nova-C and the even smaller Indian Lander. The Chang'e 5 (Lander + Returner) which is more appropriate to be used in the graphics weighs 4000 kg .

@@Brad_Fallon I would say that the reason is because of the images that we get from our space telescopes and from our ground based telescopes. It is in the public zeitgeist that in space you see stars, because most of us only see pictures from telescopes. Now in Reality, it you are on the bright side of the moon you will be experiencing a significant amount of light from the sun reflecting off the lunar surface into your eye thusly blinding you to the very insignificant amount of light from even our closest stars . However, that is nuance. so I am guessing that they showed stars because that is what people expect to see and they did not want to have thousands of angry people in the comments pointing out how stupid their video was because there were no stars. What do you think the reason is ?

After looking at their RF equipment they essentially utilized old apollo methodologies with modern digital equipment and SDRs. their high gain antenna, i dont think is steerable which is why they had a weak signal. if it landed on an incline the footprint moves away and it's much more difficult to acquire their signal. they did a decent job but their communications could use some improvement.

Yes, they return to the moon and still give us computer generated images instead of REAL ONES! Amazing how we can have Crystal Clear Birdseye View with the satellites in orbit but for some odd reason every time they release images of the moon, they either look like they were taken in 1963 or computer generated. Why is it pulling teeth to get REAL TIME HD images of the moon? If they can produce crystal clear images of Earth, how is it that we can't get the same with the Moon? Unreal

You lack a lot of knowledge mister, but your animation is pretty good also. Keep up the Good Work, just make sure to add a bit more information about the mission you are talking about and also don't deviate much from the main topic, its good to give out other info too, but it kills of the main topic. I'm not criticizing you in a negative way, take it positively.
