All Sikh gurus should be nominated as Guru only as it is not ok with me to just bind them in some faith. They are for all and we all have equal respect for them as Sikh has. Thus they should be just be denominated as Guru. They are for all

Also, whenever you go there, just sit near the sarovar(the pond/holy water surrounding the Gurudwara) and close your eyes. That feeling is intense and it cannot be compared to anything. This place has soooo good vibes. Just feel it. If possible, try to do sewa(volunteering for food or any other volunteering) it is also very peaceful. And fun fact, every shoe that goes in jodaghar(shoe house) is polished!

Hey guys! Great reaction, loved it! :D ... Get ready to read my reply, I have answered all of your questions below: Pretty much every single Gurudwara (Sikh Temple - or when directly translated from Punjabi, means the door of the Guru) in the world provides Langar to everyone daily (some are 24/7, and others are for majority of the day)! This is not just specific to the Golden Temple since the Sikh community, wherever we are in the world, are expected to provide for and help others regardless of their religious/cultural/ethnic/racial/economic backgrounds. Also fun fact: The Golden Temple is the most visited (thus the most popular) place in the entire world! - it holds the Guinness World Record :) ... The entire Langar process as you saw, is extremely seamless and perfect! It is actually more efficient (with minimal process waste) than many professional corporations out there haha! ... and yes, they do wash those bowls regularly throughout the day - you can imagine how labour-intensive that is, and yet people serve there out of their free will because they believe in Seva (Selfless service to humanity - which is at the cornerstone of Sikhism). Langar is not just for humans, for animals as well - stray dogs often come by and get fed as well ;) During these Covid times, they are still operating (at slightly lesser capacity) but honestly speaking, India's response to Covid is not structured at all - and it is essentially free will there! Regarding the Turban, yes it is typically worn by men, but women can wear it as well! You can definitely try one on Alissa :) When touring the Golden Temple, you are not separated - it is only during the time of dipping into the Sarovar (the Sacred Water, Amrit) would you have to be separated - but I imagine you wouldnt take a full dip if you went there, and rather just pour a little Amrit over your heads - unless of course you really want to take a full dip, which you can, but yes genders are separated in that event. Also, it is not a "bath", but just a dip - the video mentioned this slightly incorrectly. Currently, you can't take the Kirpan (sacred knife) on a flight, and as a Sikh, I actually think that is a good decision! Because anyone could technically "pretend" to be a Sikh and carry a knife if it were allowed on flights and cause harm! Final thought for you: Sikhism, is actually not meant to be a "religion" in the traditional sense, and more-so a "way of life", as it is treated as the way of life that ALL humanity should live by since the beliefs are so universal and inclusive of all! (you can probably tell how passionate I am and how much I love sharing and educating people on Sikhism haha).

@@akaalilaalsingh96 Sure!.. So this only really happens at Indian Gurdwaras of course since stray dogs commonly roam there. Any animal, may that be a dog, cow, etc. can be fed at the gurdwara.. I have seen dogs just outside being fed rice, I have even seen a monkey sitting down in the langar hall eating langar alongside humans! The concept is as simple as treating all life equally... You may even find some videos on here on KZread showing a monkey or anothrr animal eating langar :)

You wont feel much germophobia if you ever visit because everything is super clean. Your feets may feel hot or cold depending upon which month of year you visit. Best part you can visit a gurudwara near you in which ever city of the world to experience this same hospitality and peace. Plus you can always ask somebody to tie you a turban they ll do it proudly and happily. Chao.

Everytime you are hungry and don't have enough money or you are new to the place always go to the Gurudwara near you that's what I did whenever I was in this situation. Gurudwara lungars are just ♥️. They welcome everyone and it's always healthy and tasty. Sikh people are always most welcoming helping people.

Yes, it's true that most Gurudwara in India, have a Langar (free food) for 24hr, 7 days a week, 365 days. It really depends on a person to person if he/she wants to devote his/her love to god by serving in Langar hall or other area's of gurudwara. There isn't any cap on an individual for how long they wanna to volunteer for, It varies, it may be for 5 minutes or could be for whole day. Btw loving your videos ❤

Wearing masks inside is not allowed. But no, no one has ever caught covid inside. Nor anyone has in the farmer's protest. It's said rightly, that when you bow down in front of God, He stands up for you!

It’s social work! As long as you wish you can cook and someone else takes your place! Most of the times kitchen here is so full of people that it’s hard for some people to get in and help! It’s humanity and love for people and Waheguru ji/ God.
