    I don't think the elephants in the pageant are mistreated,but elephants are and have been known to be mistreated in other parts and situations in India at times

    Yes you are right, and the rings given to bride by the husbands sister by her hands not by the husband. The visuals are wrong here too.

    Toe ring is not aporopriate as wedding ribg . But married women wear it after the marriage , not the bachelor girl . There are scientific reason behind this tradition.

    Yes we use ji word as a mark of respect for Waheguru Ji . Ji is used for our Sikh Gurus , religious personalities of different religions , elderly people , teachers , parents , relatives and so on . It is considered the highest form of respect .😇

    The temples take care of the elephants like their children and u should see how the mahavat(the rider and caretaker of the elephants) griefs when they pass away. So don't worry about the painting they go for a bath after the rituals

    India did not actually change the names of cities like Mumbai (formerly Bombay) or Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). These were the original names but the British changed them because they could not pronounce them. To make Mumbai easier to pronounce, they made it Bombay; and to make Kolkata easier to pronounce, they made it Calcutta. There are others, but these are the two examples I am using.

    Bombay was given by mongolians which means (good bay). As it was invaded and given to east india company but then after independence.. finally its name to Mumbai on the name of regional goddess Mumba Devi Ji

    The toe ring is not wedding ring.. Toe rings is wore after marriage because the 2nd toe has a nerve connecting utreus and thus wearing silver oru tight thing around the toe helps in reducing infertility... ( i think understand sorry for my poor english) And weaing gold below waist is belived inapropriate bcoz... Gold is like pure...like symbol of wealth.. So wearing them below waist is like disrespecting the wealth kind of thing.. I dont know much... But there is actualy some more about it..

    Point number 8 he mentioned was wrong. It is not the bollywood that produces 1200 movies a year. It is Indian cinema which comprises bollywood, tollywood, pollywood few more woods tgat produces more than 1200 movies a year. There are 6 or 8 movie industries in India. I don't remember exactly how many.

    In every town and state same caste or people perform different rituals . As for wedding some put in ring hand , toes ring and other way do things for similar community as per culture is different, as per beliefs it will different. So do multiple ritual ir things at same time . But it's get very where you are in India.

    We do have engagement rings … that’s a Hindu traditional those are toe rings are specifically kept on second finger on both legs of female …as this it’s not any replacement of engagement ring or marriage ring
