As the Guy giving the tour said "Every Sikh has it, maybe some won't wear it 24x7 like others, but they would never use it as a mean of Violence or Exploit using it!". That is unchangeable Truth. Never seen a Sardar misuse his Kirpan ever in 25 years of being surrounded by Sikh people!❤#TrueWarriors

Histroy and rules regarding turban and head covering: it represents equality amonst different classes of people and gender. everyone used to wear turbans and cover heads until 400 years ago.. then the mugal dynasty made it exclusive and royal status.. so only royals could ride an hourse, carry a weapon, and also cover their head.. sikh Gurus made everyone equal, so all sikhs (those who followed the gurus) dared and started wearing turbans, carrying weapons, and riding horses.. with time and Western influence, women started to just cover their head with veil (some still wear turban).. now as a sign of respect, everyone must vover their head in temple (imagine this: everyone used to cover their head in front of elders of family also) But turbans have been so strongly integrated that removing a turban is so devastating that if a sikh goes out without turban, people would be worried if everything is alright (a famous singer sidhu moosewala was killed and during his cremation his father removed his turban and it was all over the internet) Some people who identy as sikh but are somewhat rebellious and do not follow guidlines and trim beards etc do not wear turban abroad.. but that is still very uncommon here

A Sikh can easily unwrap and use his turban to aid any person bleeding heavily or just to provide comfort to someone that needs it. The main goal is to protect innocent people, no matter what. A sikh can die happily knowing he saved the life of a child. That's an honor from God.

3:16 The ones with mandatory Turbans are Amritdhari or Initiated Sikhs. The ones without the headgear (Dastar or Pagri) are called Sahajdhari or colloquially called as Mona Sikhs. They do not follow 5 Kakkars: Uncut Hair (Kesh) Wooden Comb (Kanga) Specific Undergarments (Kacchera) Bracelet (Kada) Dagger/Sword (Kirpan).

Seems as though some clarification is needed regarding the Sikh Turban. However, a quick note to explain that all persons entering a Sikh place of worship must cover their head. Either with a turban or scarf or bandanna. As far as the Sikh philosophy concerning the turban goes… all baptized Sikhs are required to wear the turban (men and women as there are no separate rules). Guru Gobind Singh wanted his Sikhs to have a unique identity wear each Sikh stood out from the crowd. Allowing those people who need help to look for a Sikh in a turban. Similarly ONLY baptized Sikhs carry the KIRPAN, which represents justice and freedom for all. All non baptized Sikhs observe the Sikh teachings but are not required to follow the Sikh Code of Conduct. Hope this helps. 🙏🏼

Golden temple feeds 50k people daily. Tirumala feeds around 100k daily, Srisailam, Madhuri meenakshi, shiridi and many such temples feed more than 50k. Not trying to undermine golden temple, but just letting you know about other places which does the same. There is free food in every major hindu temples every day.

Not all Sikhs obey the rule about covering their hair (or even keeping it unshorn like Samson) just as not all Catholics eschew contraception. Also at one time in the history of Punjab, some Hindu families would raise the eldest son as a Sikh as that offered employment opportunities in the British Indian army, and not all of them practiced the religion equally religiously. These Sikhs were derisively called Naamdhairs (those who bear the name), as opposed to the Kesadharis (those who bear the hair).

We sikhs Believe in One God. And We believe that God loves us all irrespective of Our religion or Race. So We should not Behave Badly or Arrogantly With anybody no matter who it is. His Judgement will be Done by God we Are Not allowed to do that. We are here only to Serve our purpose. The Purpose of sikh Life is To Believe in God, Pray 5 Times a day, Give away 1/10 th of Total income in charity, To Feed The Poor And To Live Happily in The will of God No matter What happens. Sikhism Is A great religion, The Closest religion to Us Is Islam its almost The same i would say 80%. But the Only diffrence is That We sikhs Have 10 Gurus And our Muslim brothers Have Multiple Prophets. We sikhs Believe in Moksha And Our Muslim brothers believe in Hell and Heaven. May God, waheguru, Allah Bless us all ❤
