Coming from parents that never said "I love you" or showed any affection it was me that told my mom I love you and I really had to work myself up just to tell her that my father had passed years before this. Then I was telling all my friends and family "I love you" and I really meant it. When my children were growing up I always told them how much I loved them having affection for them having them sit on my lap rubbing their feet and back just doing everything I could to make them feel important and loved. I don't understand how you could not show ANY affection for your children.

Now days we say “I love you” more than ever but we lack on all other important things that the people of the past had and all you need to do is look at our children and look at theirs. Their children were obedient and disciplined , we have the most vicious and disrespectful generation of children EVER. I do realize a lot has to do with them getting the father out of the home not only physically but mentally because they have weakened men to the point that they are no longer masculine and tough but femenine instead and our children lack that “masculinity” that kept everyone in ORDER.
