I tell people all the time. Acquiring points is way easier than redeeming points (for good value). I love searching for great redemptions. I spend hours a week looking for amazing sweet spot awards. Most people wouldn't do that. That's why I live this community. Lots of people willing to teach and help. I also love helping friends and family redeem awards they never imagined they could. It's such a good feeling to give someone an amazing experience for less than they would have otherwise.

It's so cool to finally hear the full story about how you got into churning! It's so surprising how much it overlaps with mine (and other UofT alumni's). Also a fun little walk down memory lane to reflect on the (good) old days of churning. Thanks for sharing your story :)

Hi Ricky, found this great channel and subscribed here and to your newsletter too. I have a question that others may have as well so perhaps an idea for a video? When should I move my points from my Cobalt card over to Aeroplan? Is it best to move them as accrued or wait? Is there any chance they would stop the one-to-one ratio etc? Thanks

I am not a member of Prince of Travel & just want to buy the regular admission. What is gold, platinum & royal platinum? ARe these different tiers of Prince of Travel memberships? General admission is very expensive. Do you offer any kind of discounts? Will the event be video recorded? THis would be the best option for me. I just want to watch the recorded event from my own home and purchase online video access. No need for the lunch at Bruno or VIP experience. Just want the info from the comfort of my own home.

Pro tip, most banks don't do hard checks for income requirements on premium credit cards in Canada. In most cases they will take your word for it. If you have good credit and have a good relationship with the bank, you can ask them to upgrade you to a premium credit card even the very expensive one.

You do realize that’s bank fraud. I get that not all rules are enforced and not all advisors check or even ask income. But you can’t publicly say “go ahead and commit fraud” 🙄 encouraging people to commit fraud isn’t “pro tip”

@@freddytang2128 you are overthinking it too much, lying about your income for a mortgage and a personal loan vs verbal confirmation on a credit card upgrade is 2 very different things. The former requires signed and legally binding documents. The former is just a sales agent wanting verbal confirmation before a product switch.

@@PrinceofTravel Ahhh so wife!! Keep up the great work, and I mean that sincerely, but when somone calls their wife a or long term girlfriend a "partner" it's non-descriptive and possibly dismissive of her. I'm sure your relationship is more nuanced than a percentage of a "partnership". Don't fall into the trap of so-called poltical correctness. First, those people are insufferable and two, you're a man; it's OK to be one.
