How I use Wild Desert Salt

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Several people have asked me about salt. I have several natural sources of salt: sea algae, ocean water, and dry lake beds. I always consume it raw without any processing. A benefit of unprocessed wild salt is that there are other micronutrients and minerals that may be attached to it. Always make sure that your source of salt isn't contaminated though.

If you want to harvest and clean larger amounts of salt you can just dissolve the salt (+dirt) in water, then filter the water and dry the water in a big pot. This way you get clean salt and you dont have to collect on the ground. But for small amounts it barly makes a difference!

It's my understanding that people aren't consuming too much salt that they are eating the wrong kind of salt. Most people eat processed salt that you can buy in the grocery store. They heat the salt to 800 ° so it won't clump in your salt shaker but it changes the chemical make up making you sick. It's that salt the processed salt that clogs our arteries.... We need one teaspoon of salt of unprocessed a day. God gives us fields and mountains of salt because we need it it makes our nails and hair stronger... And if you have mucous in your lungs drinking at least 1/2 of your daily requirement in water it actually loosens the mucous I know. Mountain goats 🐐 eat salt because it strengthens their hooves so they can do their favorite thing climbing. God knows what he's doing he's pretty awesome. Thank You Chad 🙋‍♀️

What about skin irritation by salt?.. Sure, u have a pretty hard feet skin, but it's still looks unsafe. Also, about salt mining: by my opinion, collecting top-shelf layer with broom, defuse in water, let it settle - separate hard particles (and drop it out) and boil up all water, is better way than hand-collecting by a small pieces. Thanks for impressive video!

Skin irritation. Why is it unsafe to walk on? I didn't experience any problem. A person who wears socks and shoes all the time will likely find it very uncomfortable and maybe even painful to walk barefoot like I do. But I've been practicing this for many years. I love to walk barefoot. My feet are better conditioned than those of a person who wears socks and shoes everyday to the office... That method of collecting and separating salt seems very complicated and time consuming. I prefer more simple methods like this. It's all ready to eat!

Even freshwater contains a little salt, so after many years the low desert flat areas accumulate salt, making salt beds.

@@ChadZuberAdventures Yes, but the dosage makes the poison. Arsenic, for example, is fine in very small amounts (tiny amounts). After that it starts to become problematic. After that, very problematic. Same with selenium. I know someone whose hair started falling out from getting too much selenium through the supplements she was taking. We tend to become complacent because our tap water is very safe, in most advanced countries. But I have had long, detailed discussions with a manager of a municipal water supply in California, in a small mountain town (Mammoth Lakes). It is amazing how much science and chemistry and sophisticated, professional, very careful and detailed water treatment processes go into ensuring a safe water supply, including careful filtering out and monitoring of various dissolved minerals, metals, toxins, and other substances that occur naurally. It might be worth having some of these salt samples analyzed, or at least researching the subject in depth online.
