You look beautiful with any hair color, but I really love the darker shades on you! I lost my hair during chemo in 2014 and what a blessing that turned out to be. I have a super short pixie cut and I have never received so many compliments in my life.

This was WONDERFUL! I even took pictures!!! Now, to get with my stylist and take the leap! I used to wear my hair short and thought, " Think I will try growing it out"! Thank you for this tutorial. ❤️ This is exactly what I needed right now. I had long hair my whole life but after I finished chemotherapy in October I had no hair. It grew back curly so that can be challenging in the southern humidity. I would have never cut it short but it’s cool to see all the different styles as it grows. I definitely feel fierce and edgy with short hair for some reason. I’ve been growing it out since and trying to avoid all those awkward phases as I go along. I’ve been going to a barber because I figured they’ve mastered short cuts. It less expensive and since she only cuts and fades the bottom it’s working out well. I adore your channel. I’ve been subscribed for years. It’s such a joy to watch your content. Much love 🥰

In 1993, i too lost all my long hair to chemo. I've had pixie hair ever since and will never go back! Mine came back curly as well. It eventually relaxed but still has been of body and curl. I love that I can wear it curly or straight depending on my mood. Embrace the new you and rock it!❤️

Like many others have mentioned, I love the darker color on you and this is probably my favorite of your many haircuts! I've struggled with my fine/thinning pixie-ish hair for so long. Your blowing drying tips made a HUGE difference! Blowing the nape and sides down and your tip with the round brush on the bangs....OMG! Pulling the brush down and swooping to the side...that simple change made all the difference. Thank you!!

I love this look and have the same cut and colour right now. The pixie is the easiest haircut to manage and style and the right stylist will make it suit and enhance your personal features. You don’t look nowhere near 59! If you color your hair, find a professional hair colorist, they can take 20 years off, & they also recommend a professional stylist. I’ve watched a ton of makeovers in my 60 years, & 99% of the time it’s the hair color that makes the most dramatic impact… & the fact that they’re smiling & now have eyebrows. Honest!

Hi Dominique! I am having some serious hair envy!!! Right now I am 8 months post stem cell transplant for Hodgkins Lymphoma.......which involved 6 straight days of chemo, 3 times a day so of course by day 3 I was bald. This was the second time ive lost my hair to chemo within 5 yrs time. When diagnosed in 2017 I had almost all one length, shiny, straight, half way down my back hair and was traumatized but I came to the conclusion that I had much bigger fish to fry and it came back in pretty quick. I grew it into the cut you had about a year ago and loved it. This time I feel like its taking so long to grow and I have literally tried everything not to look like I did when I was going roller skating on a Friday night in 1983. UGH! Right now I have about 1 1/2 inches all around and its def coming in with some wave, which I hate. I keep trimming around my ears and I try to wear it forward with some piecey fringe to the front but like I said, the fight to not have bubble head is real! Im trying to grow the top and sides out some before I stopping cutting around the ear. Sooooo, Ive tried a ton of product to get it to look more textured etc. Can you give me any recommendations for growing out faster and products. I would appreciate it so much. I’ve had a pixie my whole life and have had a favorite hair dresser for the last 15 years. I recently relocated to another state and am faced with trying to find a new and highly skilled hair dresser. You would be perfect to do a video about what to look for in a hair stylist for short hair, e.g. cutting techniques,styling, communication styles,etc., including different types of hair. Example: Mine is fine and straight but very thick.

Just cut my hair as short as yours - lost 50-75% of my hair after being really sick from Covid. But my hair is very curly so it being so short & curly is challenging (Houston humidity doesn’t help!). Thanks for the tips - you always look amazing

@@LoveABun I’d be in trouble with my daughter - she does color, treatments & extensions (no cuts) at a really nice salon in Houston so I get my hair cut there. My daughter did give me a Brazilian hair treatment that helps with the frizz/curl. It’s funny bc I was watching this video on my phone the last time I was there, and the stylist that cut my hair short saw it and said “See, you’re on trend.” She knows who does Dominique’s hair so we talked about that. Her hair always looks great!

Would you ever consider showing a curly hair tutorial, please? You do many blowouts (which are awesome and full of great tips) it's just that maybe there are others who prefer curly too! In summer, it's so humid and hard to fight the moisture. I have similar hair texture to yours. Thanks for considering, Dominique!!
