You should try the CHI thermal protection spray as a heat protectant. I've seen it work well with 4C hair :)

I’ve been meaning to try it!

A proper braider should be able to braid your hair in its completely natural form, it's unfortunate that you have to apply heat before getting a protective style. You have beautiful hair.

Is it just me but when I blow dry my 4c hair it makes such a mess!!
