For anyone just reading the title and not watching the video, spoiler alert: HE DOESN'T STAY PRODUCTIVE ALL DAY! He is intentional with his time, he does his best, he works hard towards his goals, but it isn't the perfect routine that everybody thinks they're supposed to have (which is actually unattainable). Matt, I'm proud of you! Thank you for showing us that you can be productive without being perfect

I have the same grinder and now my right bicep is bigger than my left. I can swear that's the reason!
Pro tip: use a drill (if you have one lying around) to spin the grinder! (The chuck screws right where the handle connects) I used this trick for a long time before I invested in a bigger/fancier grinder... but then again, manual grinding might be your secret to those biceps 💪
This one feels so much more organic and realistic in a way..! It's nice to see your day once in a while to remind ourselves that life is messy!
I was having a breakdown just half an hour ago. We usually have such a twisted definition of productivity so I was scared of watching this video and feeling bad about my "low performance", but I had a good feeling about it, and now I'm so thankful that I watched it. This was one of my favourite videos from you because you authentically showed when things weren't going as planned. I'm personally fine with this off camera, but when I'm on camera vlogging, I can get irritated when things don't go as planned, but you embraced it and captured the raw, authentic version of your day. Thanks for sharing this. At the end of the video, I thought: "He's a normal person, he's just like everyone" And don't get wrong, this is a good thing. Now, I feel less guilty for not being a perfect robot.
Would love to see more of these kinds of videos! Very laid back and I found myself smiling throughout
lately I have been contemplating this weird "acheivers loop" that I've found myself and you spoke to it in this video. you have expectations to accomplish something in a day and because of your nature, it's an ambitious goal even if you may not think so on the onset. you work your ass off to achieve it. you fall short but feel as though you need a break. you can't enjoy the break because you don't believe you've earned it. so you set another ambitious goal the next time you go to work to make up for what you "failed at." the loop starts again. really cultivating a sense of belief that you deserve rest seems so cheesy and for achievers, kind of produces a syntax error. however, the only reason we do anything is to have a better life. to be able to fully immerse yourself in rest, celebration or relaxation is to augment your human experience and is necessary for a better life. easier said than done but i'll figure it out. decaf coffee helps.

Hello, first of all I'd like to say you're doing the most important job of rising your children while balancing your work life. You're a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for. Just by being there and helping your kids study you're shaping their future.I'm 23 years old and in past 10 years i've seen many people giving up or running away from this responsibility, How women put up with and balance their lives it still amazes me. My parents had so much financial trouble bringing me up but they put up with it for my future and I can confidently say I'm a much much better man because of their relentless efforts and dedication I hope your efforts pay off in a similar way and your kids adore you and your husband for the countless hours you spent shaping their future
Its kind of refreshing to get to see an unfiltered glimpse into your world lol glad to see yall doing good, thanks for the vid!
Love this video so much Matt! So authentic and real :)
It's 5pm and I just woke up and still have not got out of bed. My sleep has been messed up for weeks. I live with my parents right now (19 years old) and only wake up for online lectures, food and to go to the bathroom. You could say I'm depressed but that might make out that it's not my fault, which it totally is. I'm just a lazy piece of shit right now. I want to fix my sleep but I just can't seem to wake up earlier than my body wants to unless there's something I can't miss (dental appointments, lectures etc). I spend the rest of the day being a shitty family member, not having any energy or will to help out with chores or spend time with my family who are very nice people. Once I'm awake you'll most likely find me slouching at my PC, playing games that I'm not even sure I enjoy, destroying my posture and eyesight among many other things. I really hope I can find motivation somehow, by KZread videos like this or by something else. I could have switched to another KZread account in order to stay anonymous however it's 5:30pm, I've procrastinated even writing this comment and I'm lazy af. Time is ticking by and I still haven't gotten out of bed. If anyone is invested in this comment, I may try and improve my life and keep you updated but I've said that before to myself many times and I'm still like this so not likely If anyone who knows me reads this, please just ignore it and never bring it up, thank you :)

Soon your whole youth will get away from your grasp,3 years from now you'll feel empty,You'll regret wasting your youth and you'll regret ever spending so much time with virtual things that aren't worth it. The people around you are the people that care about you so don't take them for granted or you'll regret it as well. I've been where you've been, and there are so much things I regret not doing because of this damn technology era. For now,you won't regret anything, you'd feel like you care nothing of what's happening around you. Technology for now is like a way out of this cruel horrible reality. You'll think living like this will last forever but time will always make you reconsider things and see things from a different angle. Watching videos like these won't help, neither will spending time reading articles on how to be productive, until something that impacts in our lives will make us wake up to the cruel reality. In life we have to look for purpose or we'd only live empty like this.

Aside from the total unprecedented quarantine and change of lifestyle, I related to your comment a bit. I don't assume to know what you're going through. But when I was around your age, I was lethargic and attending school but not motivated to do so or even sure of what I wanted. I would procrastinate or stay inside, rarely speaking with friends. Even to this day I have trouble opening up or speaking from the places that direct my behavior at times. Sometimes this is our spirit's way of communicating that we're not ok. The only problem I see is that you might not be articulating why you're behaving this way if you don't want to behave this way. Please consider journaling. Or any other method of expression and reflection like learning an instrument, art, a sport, hobby, etc. You might find answers your spirit buried deep. At 19, you've learned enough language so the answers will have to come from within, not likely from external sources. You are admirably holding yourself accountable and I hope you would give yourself some slack too. Forgive yourself if or whenever you feel disappointed. You may or may not have trauma but you're dealing with plenty of changes. Hopefully your parents are supportive and not chastising too badly. Update if you give anything a chance.

I'm so sorry to hear this! Also remember there's a pandemic on, so be kind to yourself. One of the best ways to spend time at the moment in my opinion is to get outdoors - it really helps with productivity too! It also helps ground you that the world is still turning and that you'll be OK. Even if you're getting up at 5pm, try and set an alarm for slightly earlier every day until you're waking up at a time in the morning instead! If you try to go for waking up at 7am right away after sleeping at 4 or 5am every day, you're unlikely to succeed. Best of luck - be kind to yourself!
Watching videos bout productivity makes me productive🤙🏻
Please make more videos like this! It was really cool seeing all of this, it reminded me that nobody is perfect! Thanks dude!🙏
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video! It’s so helpful to relate with someone and not feel like you’re consistently underperforming. It’s ok to adjust! 👍🏽 Thanks for the video!
Could you please make a video about ‘the upcoming of Matt D’avella’ where you tell the story of how you got into KZread -> hesitations along the way what kept you going-> how you got into making your own website and how you started making courses and the difficulties with it.
I love how nat and matt have such a great chemistry ❤️❤️
i truly loved how realistic this was. i consider myself to be very good at productivity but i recently realized that it's normal to need more time for certain tasks, or to have something get in the way
This is exactly what I needed to watch today. Thank you Matt!
coffee + matt’s new productivity video = perfect way to start the day
