How I SPENT 20k in one day…. (Tow truck tour!)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
It takes money to make money, and aside from buying a truck like this, the most expensive part is getting them outfitted with gear and ready to run. I’m also on the middle of getting prepped for the winter recovery season and my new tracks from American Track Truck showed up today! So between the tracks and all the gear I ordered for the tow truck, I basically had just over $20k in expenses all show up on one day. I definitely need to get this truck busy to start earning its keep!
I also have to give a huge thank you to @AmericanTrackTruck for helping support the
channel and the recovery service that we provide for free in this area. Go check them out at www.americantracktruck.com

Sorry to say, but I agree. Your channel obviously has plenty of faithful followers at 117K subs; however, a little well received constructive criticism might improve the quality of your content and double your viewership. Sharp witted and harsh responses probably won't help. Hope I didn't "type too much."

Dude did his research knew what he wanted and was patient enough to find it!! Good dude very informative. Thumbs up!!
I’m an injured Vet from Canada and I love watching your channel your list of vehicles for recovery are excellent. I look forward to your off road recoveries this winter. Keep up the good work!
All the extra stuff nobody else shows us is straight awesome. I very much enjoy “you talking too much” and how much information you give us. Great work. Commenting, sharing, liking, whatever helps!
Quite an eye-opener to see all the auxiliary equipment and tools investment it takes to make a truck like that capable of it's purpose. Thank you for the insight. I'm sure there is much more to it than you covered, considering the variety of vehicles you might need to tow and the unique predicaments they may be in.

@@CaseyLaDelle too bad the Montezeuma style toolbox doesn't fit or function well in this application. Kind of nice not having drawer slides to dick with. Not sure if Snap-On or MAC road boxes would fit? At least those drawers and slides are more robust.

Take a lot more then $20,000 dollars in equipment to make just one of your vehicles totally equipped 🤑
Love the new set-up and glad to see you're checking out all the gear you might need.Glad to see American Track Truck is helping you out with a new set of tracks to try out. You really put the old ones to the test, maybe next year they will sponsor you.
Can't wait for winter to see what happens with all your rescues.
This channel is very informative especially for someone like me who isn’t familiar with this type of towing/recovery
Its crazy how much gear you need to carry but every job can pose different challenges and require different tools.
Now get to work!Love watching your life unfold your doing so well it goes so fast and seems to speed up the older we get.
The investment will be worth it! Can't wait to watch everything in use and for the winter recovery season! Stay safe out there!
I know they are expensive, but c-tech tool boxes are the way to go. They will custom make to fit any area you want. We have them in all our wreckers, service trucks, and both our tb20 and tb40
It's always a work in progress to get new truck (shop, garage, storage area) set up to work efficiently. Good luck!! 😁
Thank you for the truck tour, and, updates Casey. Stay safe and have a great week.
Hi Casey, I really enjoyed your tour of your necessary tools, and as you said, there is more to come. I really enjoy the time you take to explain, I enjoy the scenery when you are out as it's nice to see your part of the world. I also enjoy all the off roading and adventures you take us on. I know you cut those videos short, but I came to you through Matt's off Road Recovery and I enjoy seeing all the off roading that he, Paul from Fab Rats, and Trail Mater all get up to. I appreciate you taking us along, thank you.
So glad you got another set of tracks, I was thought it was going to be a boring winter watching only a wheeled recoveries. Love the tracked jeep!

Great video Casey, very informative! I never knew so much went into just outfitting one of these rigs for the various kinds of jobs that you do with it! Much respect!
knowing what gear I have on my F350 tow truck and how much more I need to get along with how little storage I have on it. I can see how quickly you run out of room on that truck. Like the way you do things I'm definitely one that will continue watching.
OMG!!!!! I am so looking forward to seeing more winter track recoveries :D You’re the MAN Casey !!
With all you do helping people for free, you definitely have a lot of good karma coming your way.
anything you put up on your show is always informative.. you're awesome
I’m so diggin the new truck! I honestly like when you buy new things because you thoroughly explain your thought process behind each little feature and how they work in real life.
Love the Pin of Shame😎 I love how you explain everything for those of us that don’t have your knowledge but love what you do. Tow truck operator, wilderness rescues, public land hauling and clean ups, all around great human. God bless and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
As an OTR flat bed hauler , you should look into an enclosed bulkhead for behind the cab. It not only provides more storage space but also keeps your equipment out of the weather. They come in many different styles or configurations.
@CaseyLaDelle
Жыл бұрын
They are handy for storage, but kill visibility when you need to look out the back window at an angle. With the type of things this truck will be doing, that visibility is very much necessary
I was abit worried seeing your tow truck on the bed of your heavy hauler...and hoping your tow truck hadn't kicked the bucket. Thankfully you were just giving us a tour of your new toy. Have been watching for almost a year now and always excited to see what's next, keep up the great videos Casey!!
Casey, the only thing that that tow truck doesn't have is the self driving feature...!!!! Awesome truck and setup...!!!!
Boy oh boy, Casey. You are so smart. I love learning about how things work! Thanks a million! We got your back!
Wow! I never realized how much stuff may be needed in a recovery to do it properly and safely. I love your videos. I actually found this very interesting and I learned a few things. Oh FYI it's kind of difficult to do a video and not talk wouldn't you say lol. In fact I believe every video I watch those individuals are talking the whole time. I guess some could put on CC on their devices and read instead lol. Sorry I just had to go there. Your awesome Casey! Keep doing you.
Good stuff Casey. I towed in the 70s and 80s for a body shop. I drove a rollback with a wheel lift, towed many vehicles on the wheel lift without any on the bed, never a problem. Thanks for the content.
Congratulations again Casey. So stoked you got the new wrecker and getting it outfitted to your liking. To find the perfect tool storage and organize it all to your needs is super important and takes time. SUPER stoked you got new tracks for the Cherokee. Looking forward to all the shenanigans you get to help people out of this winter. Love the wide variety and contact you provide. #CaseyLaDellerocks #screwthehaters
Thank you for this video showing us all the stuff you have and explaining what it is and why you need it. I hope you find the perfect tool box that will replace the two small ones and hold all the tools you want & need. Looking forward to seeing more.
Let's add to the list lol Guardian angel lights Work lights on stands First Aid Kits Batter charger power points/inverter Big lifting type straps Spill kits Timber planks for track machines (steel on steel slippery) Tarps to keep loose things intact (or nets) Would be interesting to see if the fifth wheel hitch could be mounted at the rear of the deck ,like inserted down and be level with deck plate ? Another spot for tool boxes could be either side of the winch ,if you think that would work ,low and strong enough that what's being towed could rest on if needed 🤗 Now your normal response is to reply by saying "send me these things lol But those in your country and in the trade maybe better suited for that ,sorry . The truck is looking good, and I hope you can get your home away from home lol set up as you Wish ,better throw in a sleeping bag and pillow 😂 Best wishes
Thanks Casey. Be sure to keep us up to date on the changes!👍
I don't know if anyone has given you an idea for tool boxes because they think their opinions out ways your own, anyways KENNEDY was the brand that was in my service truck. You could check out that product, or not it doesn't matter. Have a great day and enjoy your life.
Well done Mate your doing a great job - “Service to the Community” “Commercial assistance as required” “Environmental Care” - “Mentoring People via the channel” - there are not many people that can match that - Regards
i ended up buying tool box roller slides, having metal tray "drawers" bent up at a fab shop to make the most of my wide but low under body boxes. used sliding spring locks on the front to hold the drawers closed.
Oh my goodness! The knowledge stored in your brain is amazing. Remembering all those parts and what they do and how they work would never be something I could do. I know it was an expensive day but hopefully it will all pay off in the long run. I really enjoy your videos, they are very interesting and informative and besides that they’re funny. I love grumpy, he is never grumpy. Your daughter is absolutely precious and you are blessed to have her. Plus your wife is beautiful and so sweet. You make a very lovely family. Take care, stay safe.
Now that is one sweet work truck👍👍👍
I’m very excited to see some heavy recovery work on the channel!!!
You're gonna hate this, but probably the best solution for tool storage is going to be a custom drawer unit for that box. Ctech makes nice stuff.
Soon your truck will be complete in what you need to do your job and congratulations, love that truck
2 suggestions for your tool storage problems. Go check out Brian's Farming Videos. He and his Dad just got new work truck bodies on their farm trucks. They seem to have very good tool storage systems. Also, trade off that headache rack and get one with cabinets. That would allow you to still hang chains but also give you weather proof storage
Thank you for showing so much detail to everybody on how you set up your truck. I work on semi’s and I love seeing the different tow trucks come in and all the accessories they have to do their job. That quick coupler air fitting kit looks awesome. I can’t think of how many times I’ve dug through a box of fittings to try to piece something together when I need to move a disabled truck in my yard.
While watching I was looking for a way for Casey to do an either pig or peg rig which is to tie into an existing ladder type rig, with his 25,000 pound winch, and allow for some extremely long pulls with 4x mechanical advantage, glad he has some additional snatch blocks.
Don't forget some blue roll towel, a first aid kit and a couple of plastic bags for clean up or wet days lying on the ground. 😁. Thanks for sharing what's on the truck, very interesting.
I'd buy some heavy duty drawer slides for the tool box area. Then you can customize it for the tool box you end up buying, and you can slide it out past the door sop you can see everything much easier.
I would suggest that you custom build your own tool boxes to fit in the main box so every hand tool has room in that space. Complete with custom drawer locks so the drawers stay closed until you want them open.
Looking forward to another season Casey!
You should run power to those tool boxes. You could charge your camera batteries/ tool.

I'm looking for a long break from sunny, dry, fire season weather. Thanks for the wrecker tour! I'm convinced that all you recovery operators need a heavy service truck support vehicle so that you have things on hand for all the stuff you run into.

Great truck tour.
That little thing on the tracks that wasn't on the old ones is a valve stem, so you can air them down! ;-)
Thks for the walk around Casey. Like you said, it’s gonna take awhile before you get everything all dialed in the way you like it. 🤙😎
I'm very excited to see the new trax i love those videos when you're rescuing vehicles in deep snow, and I'm looking forward to seeing videos with the HD flat bed truck 👍👌
I’m glad American Track knows you have a generous heart
It's nice to see it all coming together. Can't wait to see the tracks in action. Also if you can't find an organizer system for your toolbox, I'd be willing to help try and design something. I can't fabricate, but I can make CAD models and drawings just reach out with the measurements and a general idea of what your looking for.

I was gonna ask why you explained the wood blocks. But then I remembered some people need wood blocks explained to them. They are wood blocks, for blocking. They are used when we need blocking. Because they are wood blocks.
I am also looking forward to seeing the track jeep in action. I looked up the price of the tracks ... and wow. Thanks for the tour of the vehicle as well. Appreciate the video
You had me at hello. Cannot wait to see every thing come into play.
Good luck buddy.
That was very informative Casey. Back in the day when I operated a wrecker there was no such thing as a roll back. Those were the good days when all you needed besides the wrecker was a good sling. Cars were made properly back then and we didn't need all the fancy do dads you need today. I've been wondering about the setup and operation of roll backs for a while now. I think I just did the big no no. I learned something. I thank you very much Sir.
Great video Casey. Thanks for all the information you guve to all of us. As I have been saying for quit some time, let the hates hate and we will keep doing what we want and if they hate that much they can go pound dirt some other place but nit on the channel. Keep it up.
