At first I got depressed seeing that his monthly expenses are greater than my annual income in India in terms of INR. But after comparing some basic expenses in US and in India, I got some sense of satisfaction that my income is not that bad too, as compared to cost per service in both the countries. I mean we can get the same type apartment for less than the quarter price in one of India's most expensive cities (in terms of rent).

Then I realized its not about how much you make, but how much you spend. Im 40 now, made little over $8k last month. Drive a salvage title car with 160k miles, pay $355 to rent out a room. My total expenses for this month probably won't go over $1300. The money i save i invest. Its not even about becoming wealthy, I just felt like I had to grow up
