I agree. I'd add that everyone can maximize on their looks with the right style that fits their figure. Even pretty girls could rank higher with a more suitable wardrobe. The Little Mermaid (1989) looked okay with the ship's sail as a cover up, but so beautiful with her evening blue dress out on the lake.

In the last 9 months I’ve been able to lose the weight that I gained after 2 c-sections in my 20’s and a hysterectomy at 33. Now at 61, I’ve lost just over 70 pounds. I’m loving recreating my wardrobe from thrift stores. Now is sizes small and medium, I’m having a fun time creating outfits.

How wonderful! Congratulations!! You give me inspiration. I am also 61, a mom of 4. I just had a full hysterotomy that kept me pretty immobile for several months. I had just started to walk again and now I have COVID lol Oh well, I won't let that stop me once I feel better. I can't wait to shop again for clothing that actually fits right.

I love seeing how people thrift and whats available in their area. You chose perfect outfits for a stay at home mom and just right to run errands in. Very cozy.

As someone who wears a size 18 or 20 but is only 5’ tall, thrifting for clothes has never worked for me. I have a very hard time finding clothes that fit even in regular stores. What saves me money is buying from the places that carry clothing that I know will fit, especially when they are on sale, and sticking to solid colors that I can mix and match to get the most looks from. I love sticking with a capsule wardrobe that fits in my 34” wide closet and using accessories to change things up. Like you, I love pieces I can dress up or down for the occasion.

I was similar size and had good results buying petite sizes on ebay and poshmark. Not able to buy my whole wardrobe that way but blouses, sweaters and tops especially.

As a fellow Michigan gal (about 15 mins from Metro Detroit Airport) your outfits are on point and nicely curated! I have noticed thrift stores get better as you travel north (we have a cabin near the tip of the thumb). My current season of life is a tank top during all seasons and a loose fitting cotton long sleeve, I get hot quickly. Lol Looking forward to the next upload❤

Very nice selection of sweaters you bought.

I switch out all of my pants for dresses and skirts with leggings for the winter. I found this to be the most comfortable and warm for me. I like the outfits you chose. You have very good taste in clothing as well as home decor. Thank you for all your hard work on these beautiful videos.

I loved seeing all your tips. I am a jeans and t-shirt gal too. Sweaters, sweats and cozy socks are my favorites. I was just back home visiting Michigan with my husband the first week of October. I LOVE my home state. We had the best time. The weather was still 'Indian Summer'. We left before the weather turned cold. We visited Mackinac Island and the UP, up at Whitefish Bay. I wanted to see the bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald. Meant a lot to see and we made some special memories, my husband and I. We will be coming for a visit in the spring to visit Holland, MI and Frankenmuth. I can't wait. Once a Michiganian, always a Michiganian. 🥰🥰

Hi Andrea. Love this video. It’s making the change to fall where I live as well. I love this time of year! Just want to make a couple of comments regarding thrifting your clothes. Yes, it is a good way to save money on your wardrobe budget! However, if you are a larger person or plus size (which I am), it is more difficult to find quality pieces. As larger people, we tend to wear our clothes out. But it can be done successfully! Another comment, many times the reason why someone may donate pieces of clothing is because their pieces might have shrunk. So it is a good idea to check those larger sizes! I do. ~Cathy

Just found your video. I also feel awkward displaying clothing but I also thrift all my clothes except my underclothes. Great to save money and for the environment. I dress similar to you, cozy and comfy but I need very warm clothing during the winter months in Ontario because we don’t turn our heat up 😊. You did great
