As I fellow homemaker, I have learned home based, self sufficient and simple living is the most FULFILLING and most PEACEFUL way of life that nourishes our souls and our families…thanks for the reminder!💗💗💗🙏 Also…I’ve always been afraid of putting EVERYTHING in jars not knowing how I’ll keep track of expiration…GENIUS to put it under the lid🙌

Now that our children are all grown, they are making their own memories with our grandchildren. There is no greater gift than the love, beautiful memories, faith and good health in raising our children. What greater legacy can we leave behind? I know you are committed to this every day.

So true! 😊
I don't think sugar expires. Look at it, smell it, taste it. If it is still good, then it is still good. Sugar just needs a hand-tight jar lid closure. Great video!

I stopped using plastic mixing bowls and switched to thrifted ceramic ones. They’re so beautiful I keep them out on my shelf. Also I’m looking to use wicker laundry baskets. I just painted my laundry room a beautiful basil green and used a stencil to create a wallpaper look. Everyone says it’s the most beautiful laundry room and it was only paint. I also switched from listening to country music to instrumental guitar music pretty mulch all day other than Christian music. Just small changes have really helped change how I look at the mundane tasks.
Sugar scrubs with expired coconut sugar. GENIUS!! ❤
Andrea you are such a class act… not only your looks, but your homemaking and just the way you carry yourself. It’s refreshing to see and hear from a true lady. It seems so many females today are hard to relate to when you’re an old fashioned gal like myself. So thx for being so relatable. Love your channel!! Watching from Michigan…Kim
This light fixture really is cute and looks so lovely in that spot!

Andrea - Please add this to your recipe blog - I WOULD LOVE IF YOU HAD JUST A VIDEO WITH RECIPES - TAKE FROM OTHER VIDEOS AND MAKE A SHORT ONE WITH THE NAME OF THE RECIPE - IT TOOK ME 1/2 HOUR TO FIND THE VIDEO WITH THIS RECIPE. It was worth it I made my nachos with ground beef seasoned with chili and taco seasoning and topped with the melted cheese your salsa and I added shredded lettuce. My husband and I gave the nachos with the salsa a 9/10 on the scale… so good. Thanks for the share. I also made some real home made whip topping after one I saw of your videos and used it with for our special strawberry syrup pancakes that I make on special occasions. You’re the BEST! Thanks so much
You're an amazing mother. Keeping a tidy home is constant work.

Very satisfying, being a homemaker is such a necessary and fulfilling role and it is definitely a stewardship. The salsa you made is very similar to Cowboy Caviar.
Definitely making those nachos and salsa! You really have a servant’s heart. In this time when everyone is told everything should be about me,me, me, this is truly refreshing and inspirational. You will be blessed and are a blessing to your family.

Andrea - I was craving those nachos, so I made them today and yay - they turned out sooooo good. Thank you for that great recipe! 😋
I love your kitchen I love seeing how you have things on the counter and it doesn't look like a tour home. But yet it is still uncluttered and so pretty.

I agree! Serving your family and providing a comforting environment in which to live is a true gift we can give those we love. It also teaches your children that they're important enough.
The light fixture above the sink reminds me of a ballerina tutu. Or a coffee filter. I love it. Keep it. Its very dainty and vintage vibes.
You remind me so much of myself when I was a young stay at home mom many years ago. I did not homeschool my three children but otherwise lots of similarities for me to reflect upon. My youngest daughter is now 45 and shared your channel with me so you must have triggered memories for her also. ❤ I love baking cornbread in my Wagner cast iron skillet!👍
Can't wait to try this recipe. Thank you for sharing. Your home is beautiful. You are so blessed with 4 boys and a wonderful husband. You are out numbered.❤
Those Corelle dishes are the ones I grew up with! I like the new kitchen light. You should ask for Griswold for your birthday.
Thanks for the salsa recipe I will use it this weekend with guests.
I like the light feature!

I loved this video. Managing our home is a blessing and a privilege. My husband and I were on vacation and went into a thrift/antique store and purchased a huge cast iron Dutch oven for $30 (that included the iron top with it). Thank you for sharing your recipe, I can't wait to try it.
I just love to see your house 🥰🥰🥰
So glad I found your channel. You are inspiring

Being a wife and homemaker has always been exactly what I wanted out of life and I am blessed to be exactly that as well as a mom and nana. Hanks for sharing your day
Beautiful light fixture! I think it fits the space well. Lovely video. I love your channel so much. I keep my flaxseed in the fridge and it lasts a really long time that way! Also, store yeast in the fridge or freezer! That will last a long time that way as well. 😊
I made your salsa and it was delicious! Wow!!
The nachos looked so yummy!! 😇 loved the video.
I look forward to all of your videos.❤ My daughter home schools my grandson also. It is such an amazing gift to your children. I also make the same bean and corn salsa. It is a staple for me. I add jalapeños to mine and always lime if I have. I only do salt for seasoning. I just keep my avacado on the side usually. We love it as a side or for lunch on potatoes..it is wonderful. ❤❤❤
Your homemade salsa, reminds me of Cowboy Cavier salsa that I make in the summer.... love the recipe ideas! My kids are grown and out of the house...but are all within 45 min. drive...so I am still cooking for them, as they still love to come over for visits!
Wonderful soothing, relaxed encouraging video for us needing a boost in our homemaking skills! So grateful your encouraging us all to continue to see the beauty and joy in homemaking, in a world telling us the opposite in many ways.
Oh! I love your light better than the other one. I love your conversation about winter, yes it can feel lonesome but remember you can find joy in a lot of things with the Lord's help.❤😊
Always look forward to watching your videos and I learn so much from you ❤

I remember my grandmother and mother using heavy cast iron skillets. They always washed as usual but dried by putting on low heat on the stove and then wiping lightly with an oiled cloth and they never had food sticking to the pan nor any rust. Their pans always looked new.
Those nachos looked so yummy!!!! I need to make that salsa!!!
The pitcher on your counter where you made the corn dip is beautiful! Never thought about adding some honey to the corn dip. Love the new light fixture above the sink too! Thankyou for sharing the pork nachos recipe.

I love the black bean/corn salad as well but I dress it with a mixture shaken in a mason jar of oil, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper. Sometimes I add chopped bell pepper, sometimes canned tomatoes with green chilis. Chill it in fridge to marinate for an hour.
Thanks for inspiring me to clean out my pantry! The nachos looked delicious!!!!

The nachos, pork and salsa look delicious… I will be trying it all. I always enjoy your videos as you inspire so many of us to love and embrace our families and homes. I do wish when I was young and raising my family that I could have had some of this inspiration as it was sometimes a thankless job but now there are so many channels with such encouragement for young families. Thank you Lord for this young mom and bless her as she ministers to her family. God bless!

I am so glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Those nachos looked so yummy! As for my pantry items I write date expires down on the package when putting away for first time. Of course I don’t do it on anything I know we’ll use before they expire, for instance diced tomatoes. I find it’s so much easier for me in that I’m not searching for hard to see and read dates. Especially on spices. Also a lot of time the date has rubbed off from me wiping them off after each use. I started doing this well over 10 years ago and I’m so glad I did.
Such a sweet season you’re in! Enjoy it. My 3 kiddos are 22-28 now and I remember what the days were like. Do you mind to share your pork seasoning recipe? I would like to try the nachos.
Oh wow, those nachos look delicious! I've got some cooked pork in the freezer and I'm going to use your recipe for dinner!
Yum!
Looks yummy
That salsa looks amazing!! Thanks for sharing. I will be making that soon. Part of the art of homemaking is definitely constant pickup. Staying on top of mail, clutter, laundry and organization makes day to day life so much better. Your home looks so inviting.

Oh my goodness, I can’t believe it, the light you have over your sink, I have the matching wall light in my hallway 😁, I turned it into a plug in wall light and fixed it on to the side of a very tall shoe cupboard, I think the ceiling version looks beautiful over your sink 😊, always enjoy your videos xxx

Completely off topic here! But for your new build, if you decorate with mini lights or Christmas Village at the Holidays, have your electrician install Outlets at the bottom/top of your stair bannisters (if you have) for mini lights on your garland... as well as on your Mantle (if you have one) for plugging in a Christmas village display, or mini lights!
I have been using cast iron for over fifty yrs. I clean mine the way my mother taught me. I use a "Chore Boy" which is a stainless steel pad. After rinsing it I wipe it with a damp cloth like you were doing, then put it on the stove on med. to high heat till it dries, maybe a couple minutes, And my cast iron is just beautiful, with no build up on the outside, and it is well seasoned just by cooking. Love your channel!
Once again I love your videos. I wish I had smell-vision when you were cooking your breakfast, it looked so good.

Your food always looks so scrumptious! During Dec and Jan my husband and I (mostly me) worked at eating what was in the freezer and pantry. I can sometimes be a food hoarder, making sure I have what I need at all times, but then forget to use it. Well now the freezer and cupboards are quite empty, so off to Aldi and Costco to restock.

Oh my goodness, that pan of ham and eggs had my mouth watering. All I need is a hot buttered biscuit on my plate... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. And I am making those nachos for super bowl Sunday for sure. Just my opinion... but I did prefer the other over kitchen pendant. It felt more like your style and the look of the space.
