I’m watching this video 3 years since you first recorded it and can I just say how relevant and amazing this video is! A true gem. I have a Bible and prayer “routine” and a specific prayer bible. It’s just a preference. It doesn’t go to church, I don’t study in it. But I have it loaded with sticky notes, paper strips, & stock card tip-ins that I put all my prayers on. When I’m praying about anything I look up the main issue or topic I’m praying on for whom I’m praying on, I read the scripture then I pray and I write a small prayer on a piece of paper then leave it in my Bible on the page I’m in and write the scripture I am referencing in my prayer. I don’t do this with all my prayers but when someone or something needs a prayer, that’s where I go. But this video has some jewels that are super awesome. Thank you for creating this. You definitely gave me a few bits I didn’t even think to add or look into. 🙏🏼😊

Also, what do you do in the case when your children also wake up very early? Like my 18-month-old gets up at 5:30am and a 3.5-year-old following. I've been having a pressing desire to rise early to have a "me" time and devotionals, but it seems like I never get around to it. And it is precisely the early morning that feels so special!

Sarah, I'm thankful for your commitment to your faith and willingness to share it. I have a background similar to yours in some ways and find your channel inspiring. Rest assured that your ESV is a great translation, especially from the Greek NT. My husband and I are both life long students of Greek and Hebrew and know that there are many amazing Greek scholars who put a concentrated effort into capturing more accurate tense descriptions etc. through the translation. By all means, keep loving on your NIV, though.

To pair with it I’m listening to The Bible Recap podcast by Tara-Leigh Cobble. I love watching The Bible Project overview videos before starting a new book of the Bible. And I actually really like Leviticus! There’s so much detail in there for a reason and it’s all so significant in its own way, and watching The Bible Project overview helped me see the beauty in it. I would love you Sarah to read a Qur'anic translation just once in your life. If you could understand it in Arabic than that is even better. Really we do believe that Jesus, peace be upon him, was a Messenger of Allah, and that he spread the word of Allah(to believe in just one God and to do good deeds). But also it is the truth that in time of Isa(Jesus), peace be upon him, Bible wasn't written. It was written many, many years after him. After Jesus, peace be upon him, Allah sent another messenger, Muhammed, peace be upon him, and gave gim the same message to spread. But this time The Book was written in the time of the revelation. And it remained the same after almost 1500 years the same. No letter had change. Same language. Same words we recite as he, peace be upon him, did. Sarah, you are a good person and thank you for all!

Does Islam give you the promise of eternal Heaven? Does Islam promote killing those who have differing belief's (Jihad)? The Holy Bible promises me eternal life in Heaven IF I believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible teaches me to pray for my enemies and do good to those who persecute me. There is nothing wrong with reading the Holy Bible to see what is different about it from the Quran. The first man and woman God ever made(Adam and Eve) ate forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, therefore all men(and women) inherited a sinful heart whether it's greed, lust, jealousy, hate, a short temper, pride, anger, loving worldly things, selfishness, etc... God, the creator of all things, is Holy and He cannot be in the presence of sin. He would have separated all of His creation from himself forever, but He loves His creation and desired to reconcile people to Himself. So because God loves us all, He sent Jesus to take the punishment we all deserve for our sin(any good father or mother would sacrifice themselves in order to save their children because they love them). Jesus sacrificed Himself in death(He willingly allowed those who crucified Him to do so because He loves all people)and arose from the grave 3 days later to allow the sin of people to be washed away and forgiven(which is very loving). His resurrection from the grave shows that He conquered sin, so He has the power to give eternal life to all who confess His name as Savior. The Bible promises me eternal life because of Jesus, I have no doubts(I can know it for sure). Jesus says to love one another, He does not call for Jihad or murder or revenge. He is love. He is the only way to Heaven, there is no other way. I pray all of you will give the Holy Bible a chance, just as you asked Sarah or others to do with the Quran. I pray that God will guide you and bless you and lead you daily to all truth and understanding. Peace and grace to you all!
