Just discovered your channel, my first thought was : "this isn't really my style of art". Then I watched a few of your videos, I really enjoyed learning more about your views on painting, I really enjoyed seeing your process, listening to your advice, watching your technique, as I kept watching, I started thinking " wow that's beautiful", and in the end, this made me think, getting to know the person behind the piece is also important in appreciating the painting, just as it is when hearing someone's words, or reading someone's comment on the internet. Understanding the person is really key to understanding and appreciating their views on the world.
There are so many things that I want to learn how to do, but I can't focus long enough to get good at any of it.

@@shuzennn Then do something little by little. Contribute to the piece when you feel like it, when the interest is waning move on to something else for a while. Even if the piece ends up sitting for weeks at this point there is nothing wrong with that. It will still be waiting for you when the motivation and inspiration comes to you. Paintings and art is a good friend that just waits patiently for you. So take your time, and just because you don't feel like painting/drawing for a few days, this does not make you a failure. It just means you have inspiration in something else for a bit. Putting it down for a week is not giving up. :)

Glowing and light are two of my favorite things, and one of the reasons I eventually chose to do oil painting, not that I couldn't figure it out with watercolors, but in oils the glow can be so intense and feel so alive that it's impossible to ignore

@@oceanrosethatsailsacrossth3466 There are actually a lot of ways to do "solvent free" oil painting, Gamblin has Solvent Free Medium, and Safflower Oil, it will add a little to your costs, but it's a good way to go if you're really worried about it. Winsor and Newton has Water Soluble Oil Paints that are fairly inexpensive, once you get the hang of how to use the brush with water to thin the paints and clean them they become incredibly easy to work with, and they're fairly inexpensive.

I started doing small paintings with some acrylic paint I bought for a Halloween project 2 years back, and I literally do everything the opposite of you. Started with the sky then the clouds, painted in the moon, started with the darkest colours for the clouds and moved my way over to the brighter colours one after another. This will definitely help me with my next mini painting! Thank you so much!
"trust me, you're not going to fail." me: *on the verge of giving up because my painting looks horrible* okay then

Agreed, my first thought too, it does look like a huge explosion
I’ve been painting and studying since i was six, I grew up watching my mother paint and my father was a famous artist in the region we grew up in, and I have to say this was beautifully executed. Now..... I must paint clouds!
I often see clouds against the dusk eastern sky just like that here in Australia. yes, glowing as much as your painting. Brilliant video!
The result is so beautiful, I really love it. It's so magical
This is so helpful. I'm in my senior year, taking art class and for my final composition, I need to create clouds. This is exactly what I needed.
Your passion for painting and the ease of explaining your steps is really remarkable. Great job.
This is the only art tutorial I've done that turned out great, this was really easy to me, although I wasn't using oil, I was using gouache and acrylic. 💛
...and my friend this is how i get inspiration and motivation.
Beautiful , but I would’ve liked tips on how and where to build form and use which colors to create depth... and how to actually make it look like it’s glowing.

coffeefrog make the sky darker than you want it to appear then make the clouds lighter. If you have cheap acrylic paints you can try adding neon orange (idk how well that will work so be careful) Edit:forgot to mention that you can also see a bit of a dark outline around the clouds. If you can blend that out, but keep it there that can also raise contrast.
The colors ! The fluffiness ! ♥️
Why does when I write on KZread oil paintings it only shows me Tacky bullshit and sometimes out of nowhere it suggests me amazing channels like this that I had no idea they existed!
