HOW I MOISTURIZE MY NATURAL HAIR FOR HEALTHY LONG HAIR | MOTHERHOOD AND NATURAL HAIR CARE CHIT-CHAT

Ойын-сауық

Becoming a mom has definitely changed my lifestyle. My life now resolves around my baby. I live on her time 😂.
I must mention that Prayer has been instrumental in helping me in this season of motherhood, playing my role of a wife and being productive. It’s been a beautiful experience.
Moisturizing our natural hair is a major component to attaining flourishing natural hair. Moisturizing our natural hair nourishes the hair; thus, prevents dryness and subsequent breakage.
When we have styled our hair, it is especially important that we do not abandon the hair but adapt a habit of regularly moisturizing the hair. In this video, I moisturize my hair while chatting with you about motherhood and sharing some natural hair tips along the way. I hope you find it helpful 😊.

I used to think praying about my hair is silly but I have just realized the holy spirit has been showing me how to take care of it, and to concentrate less on what people think of natural hair , if negative ofcourse.

You can either use a braid removal tool or the pointed end of a parting comb to help you remove your braids quickly. I have found them to be so helpful. Once my hair passed waist length it was really a chore to take down my braids. I'm always fascinated by differences in how different heads of hair react to products. My hair doesn't react well to coconut oil or shea butter. I will be brittle and frizzy if I use them. When God is in your life he's in all of it from the top of your head to the souls of your feet and all around you!. Absolutely nothing wrong with praying about the time needed to finish your hair.

I can totally relate as I have a 4yr old. It was very hard when he was a newborn but now he's in preschool and in a very different stage. Are you still working as a nurse? It was very hard for me being able to juggle working from home, my 4yr old when he's not in school and other lifes responsibilities. By the grace of God, I am no longer at that job and can pay attention to my son because he needs me. I just know that the lord works in mysterious ways.

I plan to post a video about product recommendations for natural hair - please stay tuned. In the meantime, definitely apply conditioner on wash day, water or leave in conditioner, oil and cream to your hair before combing. Also start combing from the ends of your hair to the roots. You may also finger detangle before you apply a comb. Hope this helps!

If that is what helps your scalp use it but you will have to use a clarifying shampoo on wash days. African black soap is the best though. Drink a lot of water for internal hydration as well. Your hair and skin are a reflection of what you eat.

Itchy scalp may be caused different factors such as excessive products applied to scalp (oils and creams), allergic reaction to new products, lack of cleansing scalp on a regular basis. Do you fall into any of these categories?

Yes, all of our hair is so different. Your hair most likely grows more in length than width. I’ve always had very dense hair. Although I think that coconut oil has helped to improve the ‘fullness’ of my hair too.

@@MrsCharityUmar When you moisturise your hair after 3 days, do you still unbraid your hair? Or you moisturise with the braids on?

1 Q pls.?? How comes you do not opt for the African black soap concoction instead of U.S. shampoos that you don't really think are so moisturizing? Just wondering whether you like or dislike the black soap? Or whether it is not available in your area? just asking. Can you offer me some feedback please? Thanks, God Bless.

Hey there!😊 I have never used the African black soap but I am not against using it. I wouldn’t mind giving it a try.

@@MrsCharityUmar don't use it . It's going to suck oil in your hair. It's good for greasy hair. 4c hair needs to be moisturized. You obviously don't need. I from Ghana but I have never used it for my hair. My white friend used it and she love how it's cleans the grease in hair hair.

Avoid tight hairstyles and pulling the hair back into styles like sleek pony tails - lessen tension put on edges. Moisturize edges regularly and apply deep conditioner to edges. If there’s loss of hair try applying pure castor oil - message it into the area at least three times a week for best results.

Hi Veronica Make sure you have a healthy diet rich in vitamin A B12 B6 C D and K. Drink lots of water too Also find out your hair porosity, once you know this, you can then find out what products suit your hair. Make sure your hair isn't protein sensitive. Lastly, get lots of sleep less stress and meditate and visualise what you want your hair to look like. Ps there are lots on KZread videos that will help you with regards foods that contain the vitamins. I hope you don't mind me responding 😊.

Hey there, nice video. But it's such a distraction to try and listen to you over the music. No music needed, in a natural conversation with someone you usually don't have to talk to someone or try to focus on what they are saying over music. I don't know who came up with this idea on KZread. But back to what I was saying, I don't think you need the music.
