CURLY HAIR SOLUTIONS - Deep Conditioning Natural Hair | Natural Hair Care

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I demonstrate how I deep condition my natural hair. Deep-Conditioning is necessary for the hair to be durable. A simple conditioner mixed with an oil that has deep penetrating properties such as coconut or olive oil, can be used for a deep conditioning experience.
Benefits of deep conditioning:
- Elasticity: When your hair is elastic, it is full of 'body and bounce.' The best way to test whether your hair is elastic is to pull on the hair when it is wet - does it quickly bounce back? Or is the hair rigid and lifeless? Elasticity is a great way to know if your hair is healthy
- Shine: deep conditioning improves the natural shine of your hair for beautiful and healthy looking hair
- Improves strength of hair: deep conditioning strengthens the hair from the inside out preventing breakage

Did you rinse out the conditioner before doing your deep conditioning

  • @MrsCharityUmar

No. I simply add coconut oil to my hair while conditioner is still in there and cover with a plastic bag for at least 30min for a deep conditioning treatment. After that I rinse out my hair and then moisturize and style.

In the Winter I put the coconut oil in an applicator bottle and place in hot water to melt - but in the Summer season it melts on its own due to the hot temperatures.

Hello! Sister in Christ Jesus. Your hair is beautiful and I thank God I came across your channel. This is just a I suggestion I think you should stop using the boar bristle brush because, I think it’s thinning out your edges. I had an incident like that when I used to use tight rollers and my hairline was bald. My suggestion is just use water and oil or hair grease and tie down your edges you will have that silky hair look. I hope this helps. God bless you!

Hi Charity. So, how many times in a month do you deep condition? And, do you apply a deep conditioning product after which you apply coconut oil? Id love to be clear on these points. Thank you!

Hello there, ideally about twice a month. After detangling with my conditioner, I add coconut oil to my scalp and hair strands, cover with a plastic bag and leave it for at least 30 minutes then I rinse the conditioner and oil out of my hair.
