    Hey, If your tray cracks quickly, it means you are adding too much water to the concrete. Also slow down the drying process of the tray. You can do this by covering the tray with food foil a moment after it hardens slightly and leave it for a few hours, or soak the finished tray in a bowl of water overnight.

  • @BearBearCammy

    @BearBearCammy

    Hi, you may try to add sand but I’m not sure that will make your cement stronger or not because without the sand my cement will still be strong. I noticed that some countries cement may not be that strong and I’m unsure if the cement mix with other powder. You may try to mix it with small portion first. Good luck :)

    I follow exactly same rules but for some reason after pouring water comes on the surface. Can you tell me what's I'm doing wrong? And I tap it minimum 15/20 times but still there's bubble and that leaves some holes. What can I do ?

  • @BearBearCammy

    @BearBearCammy

    2 жыл бұрын

    U mean after tap, the water come to surface? If a little bit of water, it is normal. This is due to excess water but you can easily sand it off later. But if too much water, you may need to reduce the water next time or soak it with paper towel. As for the holes, 15-20 times is not enough. I tap for 5 minutes 😅 and this can’t guaranteed 100% no holes.

    Are there exact measurements for one tray? How much cement and water?

  • @BearBearCammy

    @BearBearCammy

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi, the measurement for trinket tray is 315 gram in total. For this cement ratio is 1 water : 2 cement. So it would be 105g (water) : 210g (cement). Please note that some brand of cement require different ratio.

    Thank you for the video! I have a problem, maybe you’ll be able to give me an advice. When I use acrylic paint and take the vessel out of the mold it gets my hands dirty, and the vessel is very dusty. It colors my hands and there is leftover cement dust on my hands. It this because my cement mix is bad or am I doing something wrong? Should sealing the vessel help?

  • @BearBearCammy

    @BearBearCammy

    Sometimes it is dusty due to the curing process of the cement and also might happen because the mixture not mixed well enough. But this is fine. Yes! You have to seal your vessel with sealant!
