Hey Brandon Butch, first of all, thanks for the videos - this one and also the "30+ Tipps to improve battery life" video. I watched them both twice by now but there are a few things, that I don't quite understand. Maybe you can explain it a little more: 1. On the one hand, you say "Don't always quick charge" - but on the other hand you say, it's better for battery health to quick charge because the battery has less charging stress because it's recharged faster. So....what exactly is better now and why? 2. You recommend just to charge the phone whenever possible, and there would be no reason not to charge it, because it kind of prevents charging cycles because the battery is being kept at 100%. Only thing is to limit usage while the phone is on the charger, so the battery won't get too hot. But on the other hand, you recommend not to charge the phone when it is on more than 80%. Sooooo....should I unplug it as soon as it reaches 80%?? Or what exactly is better now and why?? 3. You recommend to always charge the phone over night. But not to charge the phone when over 80%. But when I keep the phone on the cable during the day, it is most likely not below 80% when going to bed, so shall I unplug it during the night or what? I don't get it... so I better DON'T charge over night then??? Maybe you can go into detail a little. That would be great. Thanks!

fh Are you charging multiple times a day? If your charging 3,4,5 times a day from 40% - 80% then your burning through a lot of charge cycles which could be why. Also only use apple chargers if possible.

BATTERY HEALTH TIPS 1. Charge overnight 3:48 Sweet spot: 50% - 80% 2. Use Optimized Battery Charging 6:15 3. Avoid the Heat 6:58 4. Avoid the Cold as well! 7:20 5. Choose the right case 7:36 6. Stick with OEM chargers 8:08 7. Use Wireless Charging sparingly 9:00 *Avoid fast charger as well 8. Consider replacing battery 10:01 EDIT: I have researched how to prolong the life of your gadget's battery (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.) and I found out that you should NOT OVERCHARGE it because it exhausts the battery charging cycles. When the certain battery charging cycles get all used up, that's when your battery starts to degrade. MY PERSONAL ADVICE (RESEARCH MORE): You should NOT OVERCHARGE your phone or any gadget you have. If you have AT LEAST 80%, you should now unplug your charger.

On the issue of Qi vs wired fast charging, Drew from Tailosive Tech demonstrated that fast charging actually degrades the battery faster. Now, I take his data with a grain of NAcL. But it does seem feasible that the heat problem is of greater threat when fast charging, due to the whole purpose of delivering as much charge (albeit safely) to the device. Whereas, with Qi charging, even. though there's the same problem of heat, Qi charges more slowly, thus not as much power delivered at one time. Couple that with built in power management, and I gather Qi charging to be the safer option. I'll continue to do my own home-brew experiments to see what works best. But overall, great video.

None of these will help you to maintain 100% battery health. These LiPo batterys lose capacity with an increasing amount of cycles, it's normal. These tips can help to slow this process down, but they won't keep it from happening. Your battery will fall under 100 % after a couple of months and it will fall under 90% after one to two years.

Yeah, I got 11 Pro Max, put it on chinese knockoff wireless charger daily, many times, even to get from 80 to 100, I don't care. Never charged it with anything else. I use unofficial Speck case. It's been exactly 2 years I have the phone and the battery condition is 88%. And 11 Pro Max is a battery beast, so I don't notice any battery drop anyway. If I pass the phone on someone else in the family I might replace for a new battery if they are heavy users. But typically you lose water resistance that way, and we already drowned iPhone 7 in a plastic bag at the beach like this.

It used to be that if you treated a phone battery poorly, you would get a very short lifespan (sometimes as low as 6 months). Nowadays, with the advanced battery management features on iPhones, batteries routinely last 2 years regardless of how well you treat them. I just factor in a battery replacement every two years. It's pretty cheap to do, even at the Apple store and means you don't need to remember any of the things mentioned in this video.

I’ve got a battery pack on my SE 2020 and I keep the battery 100% all day long switch between three different battery packs? The company that put the battery in said that I should run it dead twice and bring it up to 100% I can’t find anywhere on your word says to do that so I did run it down to 20% and now I’m up to 70 and still chargeing

So I was wondering if plugging an Apple charging cord into a lamp with a USB port built-in would damage the batter at all. The lamp in plugged into the wall and at the base has a USB port that can have an Apple charger plugged in so rather than using a block, the charger would just plug into the lamp

Daberto Andrias I have my iphone 11 for 6 months now and the battery health is still at 100%. I always charge my phone overnight but only when my battery is between 20-30%. When I see my battery at 30% above I just let it be and then tend to charge it at office the next day. I also never used the low battery mode. I actually noticed that the low battery mode which I used everyday on my 6s may have also affected the battery health. I don’t use my phone while its charging, only when needed like replying to messages and answering calls. Plus, let it rest once or twice a day. Like rest not only when its charging but just let it rest, don’t use it and don’t charge it. Just let it go. I hope I could help you. 😊

So I bought an ip11 last year. Today I sold it with 100% battery health for a reasonable price to a coworker. It’s been an ocd-y year for me. Not a single time I charged it to 100 neither did I drain it to 0. I only charged it to 78-80 and start charging at around 50. Slow charged it for an hour everyday.that’s how I maintained mine. It wasn’t practical but I enjoyed the longer lasting battery until the end of the year. Tomorrow I’m getting a 13 pro, gonna do the same maintenance because im planning to keep it for a couple of years.

I am just wondering. What if my phone gets to 35% then I have to charge it so I will not drain the battery? After that, I use my phone for entertainment while still charging it throughout the night. Then after I finish using it, before I go to sleep, I notice that my battery is at 85%. Should I unplug it or continue it to charge overnight?
