i use the "my 100" for my top 100 highlights of the year (like a day which made me happy or something i saw and thought was special)

Love seeing how you’re using the Avec! I use the My 100 page as a food log to record the restaurants, cafes, take out I got over the year 😊

I use the cousin for journal/memory keeping but I also use an A6 Techo for run off journal. I loved your point on a dated page keeping the entries more relevant to the day. It tricks my brain to do more meaningful journaling.

Been using a Hobonichi A6 since 2016 and the uses changed a lot over the years but I‘ve been pretty consistent this year using it as a journal/memory keeper similar to yours. There are months at a time when it‘s not used like July, when I go to a passport TN for One Book July, which I still enjoy doing. But I like how fluffy the whole thing gets at the end of the year and flipping through past years is really enjoyable as well, especially when you stick to one size. Have to admit though that I strayed and there were years where I went with a Cousin Avec or a weeks but somehow the A6 got my heart and it‘s the only size from Hobonichi that I got for 2024. Thanks for sharing, I found the consistent colour in ink really inspiring but cannot see myself doing that as I need the variety. 😅

Love it! I’m waiting for Nov 1st to order the Tomitaro Makino A6 English HON.

I've been in the A5 cousin since 2018. I love it! I live in the weeklies & use the daily pages for whatever strikes - journaling, drawing, quotes, book reviews, penmanship practice... I usually backfill about 5 to 6 pages a month and that's okay - it's my artistic outlet 😂. My 2024 order arrived today actually! I love the feeling of potential I get when I see a new book. ❤ your channel btw!

I bought the botanical A6 HON for journaling/memory keeping next year and I'm really excited for it! I'm hoping the daily pages and small size will help me keep consistent. I use my TN for when I actually travel so I don't generally stick any ephemera in my standard journal so hoping it'll wear well. My order has arrived already and it's so pretty and the A6 size is adorable. I loved seeing how you've been using the Avec!

2023 is my first year in a Hobonichi. Hadn't used a daily planner before so wasn't sure how it would play out. I have ended up using it similarly to you: primarily memorykeeping. Tip in ephemera or fun stickers or pictures from online on those inevitable blank pages. I've been using the My 100 to list all of the books/tv/movies I'm consuming. Figured between the three mediums I'd get to 100 by the end of the year. Maybe. lol As I don't "plan" in that book I'm not sure how to use the monthly pages, so far just noting days I hang out with friends or go to concerts or something like that.

I have been so curious about the a6 techo! The daily doesn’t seem as intimidating as other daily planners and I like the idea of using the monthly to choose a sticker a day. Basically inspired by Ellie’s Corner. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your memory keeping book!! I’ve been interested in memory keeping as of recently and I’m going to set up some fauxbonichi spreads in an a6 journal and an a5 journal. 😂

Lovely flip! I use a Cousin for journaling, and I hear you on the repetitive nature of the monthly AND the weekly AND the dailies. But I also can't leave a spread blank. 😂It's a bit much to keep up with on some days, but I have gotten over having blank dailies scattered throughout the book, as I know I'll use them for collections or whatnot!

I don’t own a hobonichi. Just ordered a original A6 techo. I like it’s size and the number of pages it has. I plan to tweak it, because I too like weekly vertical layouts & additional pages to journal/ jot down notes for longer projects. The weekly seems best in terms of size, and there’s some room for journaling/making detailed notes. However, the horizontal layout messed with my brain. If what I a. Goes well, I will post it to you to share. I do t really know how to use KZread 😜

I’ve been jumping back and forth with planning/daily journaling between my techo A6 and my travelers passport journal all year. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Ps. Automatic LOVE on this video for all the JJK in your journal 😆🖤

Your A6 is cute! I am in a Cousin, but I use it to log what movies my husband and I watch throughout the year. If I don't fill the 100 lines in the year's first half, then no biggie. I just like to keep track of what we've watched :)

I really disliked the bulk of the full A6 techo-even with only what I would call mild bulk! I had one for 2022 and had to return to avec this year. (I also hate the colors of The avec covers-particularly the top half of the year), so I did want to try the single book, but it was a “no” from me in the end!

How do you feel about the pen closure on these covers? I want to try a cover like this but also feel like I might hate it lolol

Interesting that you're going to a full year next year. I'm going the opposite way and going Avec for my Cousin. This is the first year I've really filled my daily pages with memory keeping and the chunk is making it pretty difficult to use as the year has gone on.

I’m hopping because I tend to draw more than print I’ll still be okay 🙈 but if I don’t get a HON I know I can fold the covers back on itself and make the left and right sides equal if it gets too bad. I’ve done that with some of my full year cousins over the year. But we’ll see! I still haven’t ordered anything yet

@@lindseyscribbles I recently heard about that trick but have yet to try it as my Cousin is in quite a tight leather cover. I haven't placed my Hobo order yet either, because I know I can get it quickly whenever from Amazon Japan I'm in no rush this.

Is the extra fine pvp scratchy? I am on the fence about ordering a nib unit for my matte black pvp.

Not in my experience - but I hear most people prefer the fine over the extra fine because it is smoother. My extra fine get a lot of daily use so I feel like I almost break the nib in a bit bc it writes much bolder now than when I got it!
