Good luck sa law school! Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m also planning to take online LAE this year and I heard no scratch papers of any kind are allowed. May I ask if the questions (esp. logic games, math) are still answerable without diagramming or computing on paper?

Thank you for commenting and the kind words. Yes, the use of scratch papers is not allowed. You can use the built in notepad and calculator, but tbh I find it harder than using an actual paper. Iirc there were no logic games last year because of the said limitation. But I would say that the math/quanti questions were nor that difficult to answer/compute. It's really the time (pressure) that made the exam difficult. Good luck and feel free to reach out if you have other questions.

Thanks for your question and the kind words. There were no essay questions in last year's LAE. I think we were asked to write an essay only during the Pre-LAE. As far as I know, there's no standard length or limit in past LAE that had essay questions. Probably due to the time constraint. I would suggest (in case there will be essay-type questions) that you keep your answer concise.

Oh sorry. Haha. No limit as well. My answers were very short! But same rules apply. Just be honest and make sure that you know your answers. They refer to your answers during the interview. Thanks. Good luck as well!

Just wondering if you have any idea ano yung exact process doon sa galing sa mga non-pre law degree, I know may mga kailangan e take na certain units na english , econ, etc. para maka proceed pero like while student pa ako e cross enroll ko na yun? Huhuh hirap nga magpa enlist sa up , agawan ng slots how much more dagdagan ko pa or pagka grad ko na saka ko gawin? Tanggapin pa kaya ako ni Yupi para lang mag take ng mga GE courses ,hehehe sana masagot tnxx.

Hello. You can take those courses naman during sembreak/summer/midyear. Before, students were required to complete them before 2nd year pero currently it can be waived but you still need to complete them to grad. It's also possible for a specific course (like GE) to open a section exclusively for law students. Good luck! 😊

Or you can try other law schools this year and if you want try to apply to UP again next year. Though for me it's a waste of time and effort. If you're not in a rush naman, mabilis lang ang 1 year. 🙂

Hiiii. Since I had a full-time job when I was preparing for LAE, I was not really able to follow a strict sched. I started refreshing myself with the topics 3-4 months before the exam, but I did not study regularly. I only tried to really focus when the pre-LAE results had been released. So, roughly 3 weeks. But of course, it's always better to prep early, especially if you have the time.

Hiiii, can i ask what is your gwa in your undergrad? medyo kabado din kasi ako sa gwa ko baka below average pa kalabasan, and would like to ask also if may bearing din ba yung school na pinanggalingan mo? in my case kasi i didn't come from the big 3/4 universities. TIA

Hellooooo. Thanks for commenting. UPLB undergrad ko pero. 2.22 lang GWA ko. Honestly most of the people who get in are usually from UP and ADMU. Pero I'm sure it's not because of the school. Kasi I have blockmates and know din people who did not go to any of the "big 4" unis. So it's possible talaga. Good luck! 🙂

Hello. Thanks for commenting. Go for it. You just really need to prepare and review. If you don't think you're ready enough, you can focus on your prep this year and take the exam next year. But you still have time for this year's LAE. Laban lang para sa pangarap. 🙂

Hello! Yes, definitely! Di naman siya requirement. I think the extra curricular activities will help you lang when you submit your application/answer the application questions, and during the interview. Pero I think it's not that important as long as you do well in the exam itself (and pre-LAE if meron pa rin) and the interview. 🙂

Hello. I'm not sure pero usually mas marami kasing pumipili sa Diliman. But so far wala pa naman akong narinig na di natanggap based on their choice of campus/program. Once you pass the LAE and interview, you will be asked again to select a program/campus. So I don't think your choice during the app matters at all. Good luck! 😊

nakakaloka nga after ng prelae may mock lae pa ulit before lae proper then last interview nakaka stress hahaha

Hello. Before pandemic (onsite exam), the use of calculator was not allowed pero pwede sratch papers. Now (online exam), the use of scratch papers is not allowed but there is a built in calculator thar you can use during the exam. Good luck!

Hello po. I want to take this year's UPLAE. Ask ko lang po kung paano po 'yong process ng payment? Nakalagay po kasi order payment slip, kaso 'di po lumalabas 'yong option na 'to sa akin. Paano po kaya gagawin? Katatapos ko lang po mag-submit ng application form. Advance thank you po sa pagasagot.
