I know it would be a ton of work to go through all the videos and categorize them, but I think it would be really helpful to split "beginner" and "intermediate" videos into *beginner 1* and *beginner 2,* and *intermediate 1* and *intermediate 2* -- or maybe just split the intermediate videos. As it is, I think many subscribers end up having to hunt around for intermediate videos at the appropriate level, once they've moved past beginner.

In Dreaming Spanish videos the flags represent the accent. So Spain Spanish gets a Spanish flag, Mexican Spanish gets a Mexican flag, etc.

KZread recommended me this video for some reason, and I am impressed how I as a romanian could understand almost everything, although I've never learned spanish (except a few DuoLingo lessons). I have some DuoLingo progress in brazilian portuguese though and I hear many words that are similar in the 2 languages.

Part 2 please huhu. I just started studying Portuguese. Especial thanks to Dreaming Spanish, it makes learning Portuguese easier ^.^
I always love hearing these stories to give me hope that one day I will speak Spanish and other languages fluently with enough input. Lately I can watch certain topics in intermediate and understand most, but still have about 200 beginner videos to finish. When I finish those I'll be about the hours for intermediate. I'm so motivated to get there as the intermediate topics became even more interesting. So many I look forward to watching

@@ashlynhoover3935 Nice job! I'm just over 100 hours. Doing 75 min a day until school is done after next week. Then I will increase to a minimum of 3 hours a day. My hope is over summer vacation I will get to level 4 so when school begins again I will be able to listen to podcasts to keep my time up. Right now definitely still need to be watching and totally focused to understand completely. When I can listen and cook dinner at the same time will really help me get hours in.

Oh, it's been 5 months. I'm at almost 600 hours and this was easy to listen to now :) In the middle of intermediate, watch some advanced, and a few native things without much trouble. Dreaming Spanish rocks!

I think this is the best video I have watched at the intermediate level to get more comfortable with past tense very structures. The repeated use of them in this was excellent and it would be useful to see more videos like that!

I studied Spanish for a bit in college and tried studying Portuguese afterwards too. I also thought it sounded like Spanish pronounced incorrectly 😂. I think it's a natural reaction. They probably think the same thing about Spanish.

Please make a Dreaming French channel. I'm dying for similar content in French but there's not many. I've been learning Spanish almost exclusively on Dreaming Spanish. After about 200 videos I'm able to understand most messages in this video, thank you guys so much ❤️

O mais estranho de ser brasileiro, é que ha tantos sotaques diferentes no Brasil, que para nos, espanhol é apenas mais um deles. Eu demorei para perceber que ela estava falando espanhol, porque estava entendendo tudo claramente, como se fosse português.

O espanhol dos mexicanos me parece mais facil de entender do que outros paises vizinhos a nós. Um boliviano achei bem desafiador, argentino um pouco menos, mas nao tão bem quanto aos dos mexicanos.

Eu consigo entender no modo slowly 90% do que é dito! Eles, obviamente, não falam tão devagar no dia a dia então quando entram no modo hard fica impossível entender coisa alguma!

After many years of studying Spanish, I still can't speak it. Pablo has given me hope that I can acquire enough Spanish to speak it within a year. At the present moment I'm taking his advice that he gave in a video and am viewing hours of "Peppa Pig en Español Latino". I think it's going to work!

I have been learning Spanish for the past 5 months. The fact that I already learned French really helped as the grammar structure of of French and Spanish is similar. I made sure that I already knew basic Spanish before I started to practice speaking Spanish online to Spanish speakers. I only study high frequency words and grammar that I know I will use in daily conversations.

@@jamesmccloud7535 Why wait so long? Small exposure to speaking through tandem has drastically helped me. It is hard but it highlights what you need to work on.

me alegro que yo pudiera entender casi 90-95% sin problemas! Al inicio, yo nege la validez de este metodo de immersion. No puedo mentir mi gente. Tal vez haya pensado que estaba un poco mas lejos lo que era o yo sentia arrogante y queria saltar los niveles que deberia haber estudiado pero mi gente, ya no! He regresado al sitio de Dreaming Spanish. Solo quiero ver el contenido que me gusta y tambien es interesante y esto es asi! La belleza de esta historia me dio risa y tambien me ayudo con mi habilidad de comprension. Lo admito que saltare todos los videos que son "Beginner" por que es demasiado facil y incluso un video asi tambien pero quiero permenacer de lo que estoy y estar enfocado en el presente! Un video o dos asi cada dia me llevaria tan lejos y espero que me ponga a entender y hablar con fluidez tan rapido como pueda! Una vez mas, lo aprecio pila!

Eu sou português de Portugal e sei que é mais fácil para um português aprender o espanhol, que um espanhol aprender o português; mas de todas as línguas latinas as que são mais semelhantes e mais próximas, sāo precisamente o português e o espanhol; pois tem de 70 a 80 por cento que se escrevem e se pronunciam da mesma maneira. Pois há muitas e muitas palavras que são iguais, e não vejo o porquê para quem fala o espanhol ser tāo difícil aprender o português.

Lástima que realmente no respondiste la pregunta: ¿Cómo aprendiste portugués? Además, sería bueno escuchar este video solo en portugués con subtítulos en español. Una cosa que puedo decir es una sugerencia que escuché una vez: que 1000 horas de escucha harán que automáticamente hables el idioma que estás escuchando...
Muito legal ver estrangeiros falando nossa língua, e te digo mais, o português brasileiro é mil vezes mais bonito que o português de Portugal... ahaha Grande abraço e beijo pra você querida, daqui do Rio de Janeiro, cidade maravilhosa!

7:09 Na verdade, não é um espanhol sujo, mas um português modificado. Nós acabamos falando um português diferente do europeu. Mais simplificado, tipo não pronunciamos a letra L no final das palavras, ou seja "Mal e Mau" nós pronunciamos como se fosse a mesma palavra... pronunciamos papéu (papel); méu (mel); sáu (sal)... nem sempre pronunciamos o R no final dos verbos tipo "ficá", "falá", "comprá"... além de não conjugarmos corretamente os verbos, tipo "tu vai", "tu qué", "tu foi"... ◙ Em alguns países de língua portuguesa, quando a língua local de distancia tando da oficial, ela é chamada de língua crioula.
It certainly helps to be a native speaker of Spanish, as they are very nearly mutually intelligible. I wish there were another language that close to English. Alas, the West Germanic Frisian language dialects do not have anywhere near as many words of Latin origin as English. I can no more understand Frisian than I can Old English, which is to say not very well.

@@michellesands9618 - Yeah, but it's debatable whether Scots is a distinct language or an English dialect (admittedly a somewhat arbitrary distinction). Is it an old, divergent dialect, or a Modern English sister language? I think I see it as the former. And it's a continuum today, between the sort of full Scots dialect, and Scottish Standard English, or whatever they call it. I think the Scots end of the spectrum is on life support; not many speakers. As I understand it, the Vulgar Latin daughter dialect that evolved into Portuguese was already very distinct from the Vulgar Latin dialects everywhere else in the Iberian Peninsula, particularly the dialects that evolved into Castilian, by late 11th century. I know reading Scots is a lot easier than understanding spoken Scots, but it does look pretty much like English, to me.

She said she’d been there many times even staying 4 months once so it’s obviously a lot longer than 6 months. She also said ‘pareja’ not ‘novio’ so you can’t automatically assume she has a boyfriend. I noticed though she said they’re not married, the partner’s mom was her “suegra” which gives the impression that the relationship is/was serious. The story reminds me of Natalie who made a video how as a teenager she moved to LA with her boyfriend (spoiler 🚨 it didn’t have a fairytale ending)

I wish there was because I'm slightly more interested in Brazilian Portuguese than Spanish. However, I already know enough Spanish to at least follow along with this video, and there's not much Portuguese comprehensible input.
