I love that Jacob was only unsure of the plan bc “Esau was very hairy and Jacob was not.” 😂 You’d think a guy who was about to conspire w his mother to lie to his father and cheat his brother would have had some moral concerns rather than just some of the details of their evil plan. This is the kind of thing that makes me think I need to find a new religion. This is insane. Honestly. Idk how you can move on from this and explain it away. God is blessing the thief and the liar and cursing the victim.

I saw this as revealing to us the sacrificial love of God Did not Christ become a curse for us? "Nobody comes to the Father but through me" When God looks at us, he doesn't see us, he sees the Firstborn of all creation... His Firstborn son... Our Brother And that is why we receive blessing "And Isaac smelled the smell of his garments and blessed him" He blessed Jacob because he could smell Esau "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God" We cannot receive blessing any other way... We must put on Christ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem GENESIS 9:18 who is the God of Shem... God is Love Love covers a multitude of sins The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel JESUS IS OUR BLESSING.... Jesus is in the bosom of the Father... Jesus is the HEART OF GOD revealed to mankind The suffering, sacrificial, generous, unyielding and undying love

@@MasterpieceBible Now the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan. These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated. And Noah began to be a farmer, and he planted a vineyard. Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father’s nakedness. So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him. Then he said: “Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brethren.” And he said: “Blessed be the Lord, The God of Shem, And may Canaan be his servant. May God enlarge Japheth, And may he dwell in the tents of Shem; And may Canaan be his servant.” ^ Shem knows the Lord There lies a man naked in his shame... And what does Shem do? He like God covers him with a garment AND turns his face to not look at the nakedness... Meanwhile... Ham acts not like God... And infact acts more like the accuser of the brethren... His first action is not in love, he runs to tell his brothers about their father (to mock) Love will cover a multitude of sins Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

When I say that Isaac failed, I'm referring to the fact that he wanted to bless Esau in spite of God's word to Rebecca in 25:23 and in spite of Esau's character that becomes evident in 25:29-34 and 26:34-35. Even when Isaac blessed Jacob, he still thought he was blessing Esau. He was still failing to submit his will to the will of God and to trust God to bring about the fulfillment of the promise in his own time.

is jesus god or the son of god? I'm confused. Isn't worshiping jesus as a separate god from yahweh be idol worship? Or is jesus yahweh in human form?

You missed the whole point of that whole story, Jacob did not fail, nor did Rebecca they were acting within God’s wishes. Esau married to Hittite wives they were canaanites. If you go back to Joshua, the Israelites were to utterly destroy them they were not to have anything to do with canaanites let alone marry them so Rebecca and Jacob did right in the sight of God

I agree that Esau had disqualified himself from receiving the blessing. Nevertheless, there are numerous clues in Gen 27 that show that Jacob and Rebecca failed to trust God by taking matters into their own hands. It's actually very hard not to see that once you read the text attentively.

But 90% of todays Jews, the Ashkenazi are descendants of Canaanites. This can be verified easily with an afternoon of research. It’s not some occult teaching that’s difficult to find. It’s mainline scholarship. It’s historical fact. We can even verify it with DNA records. So it doesn’t make sense if what you’re saying is true and important.

Let's clear up the record.. Jacob didn't steal Esau blessing, it was prearranged that the promise would come through Jacob, let's not forget the scripture.. Jacob I loved Esau I hated (Romans 9:13) well why would God say he hated Esau.. you may ask, cuz he cared nothing about God, he'd rather be in the fields hunting, he was worldly, he cared more about earthly things than his Heavenly Father, he cried like a baby for his "earthly father to bless him" rather than his Heavenly Father's blessings, he could care less about God, and again.. all of this was prearranged, God have a perfect plan and he will see that it goes exactly as he plan it, he got everything he had coming to him, and after they was reunited after all those years... obviously he had done well for his self.. not one time did he mention or give God thanks or praise for his wealth that he had accumulated, because.. obviously he had became a very wealthy man during the time Jacob was with his uncle Laban, but all Jacob did was praise God for all that God had given him..his wives and children all the livestock, so.. this is why God hated Esau, cuz he didn't care anything about God, he could care less about God, go a re-read the store and pay attention to the two men after they are reunited, you'll see the difference in these two men.. like night and day, "y'all be blessed and favored of God" 🙏

Stealing and cheating is totally fine if God knew you were gonna do it the whole time. And since he knows everything bc he’s God, that means he’s cool with it for you too. So go out there and cheat and steal bc God obviously has no problem with it so long as he knew beforehand. Sounds like an awesome God you’ve got there. I used to believe in him right up until I looked into this Bible story and realized what kind of insane mental gymnastics I’d have to do to pretend this story is okay and doesn’t contradict everything we’re taught in say…the Ten Commandments or something.
