Hi Angela! This was a helpful video. I have not tried dyeing fabric yet, but I plan to give it a go soon. I think I need to watch some more videos to perfect the process...there seems to be many variations with many different end results. I think it will take several tries. Sounds fun! Great video! Do you experience shrinkage in your fabric dyeing process? In other words, if you start with a 40 ct, after it's dyed, is it still 40 ct or do you find that it becomes a higher count after the process? Thank you!

Hi! Thank you! No actually, because I make sure that I don't keep my dye boiling or too hot. So instead I keep it in longer if I want the colors to be dark, but so far 20-30 minutes seems to be enough to get the colors I want. I just keep the temperature warm and I think that helps with the shrinkage. I dyed my 32 count before to shrink it to 34 with boiling hot dye so for 40 counts I usually don't have it boiling hot and it stays 40 count after. I hope this helped! :) Happy stitching!

Hi! No, I'm planning on not washing them but even if i wash it now I don't think it'll bleed because I made sure to wash out any excess dye :) Happy stitching!
