OMG!!!! Girl I can't thank you enough for showing me this technique. Girlllllll I finally have KZread hair!!!😂😂😂 you know what I'm talking about.....when you get on youtube and it seems that everybody's hair and curls are popping and moisturized. I used xtreme wetline gel and a lil hair grease....yes grease cauaw oils and my hair don't like each other. I didn't have a crunch at all. I'm 4 days in and my hair is still on point. I let it dry over night and didn't take the usual 2 days. Anyway I am feeling myself and my curls have given me "new life" the bounce and shine I have is AMAZING!!! I won't do a regular wash n go anymore. 😍😍🙌🙌🙌 Thank you girl!! P.s. I have no frizz and my hair hasn't dries out from this Extreme heat in hot GA!!

Girl! You had me cracking up! I do my hair in the bathroom with the door closed just cause I don't want nobody seeing me dancing and acting a fool when my song come on😂 My husband don't even know that my hair wouldn't take as long if I wasn't in there dancing and singing!

I never used gel in my 4b hair... although I admire the wash and go look/style on women. However after watching this video and being inspired I went out and purchased eco styler gel... I am totally using the method that you have showed... and I am loving the results! Of course I have shrinkage due to the kinky texture/pattern of my hair... but you are so right about the eco styler gel... my curls & kinks are popping... I am in shocked!

Some people say that because gels are known to be drying to the hair which is why we have to use a moisturizer or leave-in conditioner (not too thick and not too much though) on our hair before we put the gel in. You also want to choose a gel that has no alcohol. Even then, some people's hair just won't do well with gel while others have no issues. You'll just have to try it and see but it is true that gels and gel type products seem to be the best for wash-n-go styles. I use gel every day with no problem (and my hair is passed by shoulders) but everyone's hair is different.

I've been doing this with homemade flaxseed gel (Naptural85's recipe) and it works great!! You can also stretch your hair using the banding method. Works every time!

I'm like 4 years late to the party, but I'm here now! This was so much better for my hair than a wet wash-n-go.

I did this last night, and loving the results. I only used a little bit of water for my back sections, and hardly any water on the front sections. Dry time was so quick compared to doing the standard wash n go. I'll be doing this from now on as the weather is getting colder.

It worked so much better for frizz than on wet hair and I have fine hair so this definitely will be my wash n go/dry n go routine

This is pretty much the only way I can achieve a wash and go tho! lol. My hair does not know how to act if I attempt a wash and go on wet hair

oh yes. you definitely want to layer it. my hair was already moisturized before drying. It lasted a week for me and was shiny, defined and frizz free the entire time

Love this! I do the exact same thing but I do it with a thick conditioner instead of gel. Definition is always pawpin!

I just slap some conditioner & finger detangle it by section on dry hair. Yep no water. The Trader Joe's Nourish Spa conditioner is awesome for this technique...well if u dont mind the silicone (which I don't). Plus there's a light hold so no gel needed

I did this the other day before I saw your video and had the same experience! It actually came out prettier than usual. I live in Florida and the humidity is brutal so the crunch goes away fast anyway
