when using a colorless blender you put the blender down first, then the other colors. It sound backwards, but it works. if you do it the other way it just lifts the color

@@keirabraun8348 Sort of? One of the ways I use a colorless blender is to very carefully use it to kind of "push" the color back into the line art.

I feel so dumb. I just started using alcohol markers and couldn't figure out how to use the blender. I even put some of the ink directly into the blender. Which makes cool effects, but was nearly impossible to clean back off. Thank you for your tip. 😭

Yus, I struggled so hard to recognize what it was from, until I had actually stopped thinking about it, and it suddenly came to me. XD

I'm a watercolor color artist, so, honestly I just wanted some background noise as I ordered dinner. I definitely recommend their markers ✨ I used Copics for years and Artify's feel really similar. Especially the ones with the sketch tip!

One of my favourite ways to work with my Premier pencils and my alcohol markers are to mix them! You can use prismacolours to enhance the alcohol markers over top but you can also use the alcohol ink to help blend your pencils!

this was so helpful thank you! been doing oils, watercolors, and digital for years but finally getting my first set of alcohol markers in the mail soon. can't wait to experiment!

I have used alcohol markers once, and the result looked like a 3 year old had been coloring with Crayola Super Tips in a Dollar Tree coloring book (they were Copied and it was marker paper). But I see my friends making beautiful multimedia pieces with alcohol markers as the centerpiece, so I grabbed a set of 100 Belleza Suprema markers and now I'm on KZread. Im more of a digital artist but a few years ago I was gifted with a huge collection and got some more for Christmas this year. I want to get more into it because they're just collecting dust and traditional art is still very fun.

Awesome video! I've been working harrrrd at getting my marker work where I want it. I think your point about mixing mediums is the best. I love to use watercolors (my main medium), colored pencils, gouache, and ink/ liquid watercolors over it to get it juuuust right. Knowing you have other mediums to use over a marker base takes away a lot of the perfectionism I feel, knowing that it doesn't have to be perfect and I can use other mediums to achieve the effects I want and can't get with markers. This video is one of the best made marker tutorials I've ever seen tbh. The way it was made with the section reviews 🤌👌
