@liammaris7639

You have to buy new. You need a 48 Volt or higher lithium ion battery for the motor work. I would recommend buying a 72 or 76 volt battery because it’s only a few hundred dollars more and you get a lot more power. Hoped it helped.
Got my kit in yesterday and it’s way faster than this video shows! V2.1 is insanely good, I got the 72v with heat sink and key switch. Easily going 45 ~ 50 mph with plaid like acceleration

I just got my new motor for my new mongoose cx24v450 and im super hype for it! It was super easy to get it mounted on the stock motor bracket, had to grind a little bit off the bracket to get the motor to sit flat, grind the bolt holes on the bottom into slots so i could line up the chain and remove an alignment plate but all that barley took me 25-30min and i had the motor on the bike, now i just gotta get a battery and controller for this bike and itll be ready
Yess I've been waitn on this specific video
This is what's great about electric. If you wanted this kind of power you would need a bike twice the size but with electric you can have lots of power in a smaller form factor. Personally I prefer a smaller bike so I hope to get one of these in the future.
@Chris-xo2rq
Жыл бұрын
The RC community embraced electric over gas/nitro many years ago. It's just superior in every single way. The largest downside of electric (range) is less apparent with smaller vehicles so it makes sense that smaller vehicles will embrace it first while larger vehicles lag behind waiting for tech improvements. It should have progressed from RC to small recreational vehicles like these and then to full-size vehicles. I don't know why it seems to have skipped this middle step... electric motorcycles, quads, jet skis, etc are very viable.

Whats the range on the razor in miles
I just bought a sx500 and bought all parts I needed from Amazon and eBay to upgrade. I upgraded the motor to a 48v, the battery, controller, throttle, put a 3 speed on, and handle bars as well as some other things and it’s totally different. It hauls ass now. Almost threw me off on accident the first time letting on the throttle and it was only on 1 speed😂

How much did the build cost? Im thinking about building one
@blakeneef
2 жыл бұрын
For just the main components: battery, motor, controller, throttle will run you about $369 w/o tax. The motor came as a package with the controller, throttle, and a 3 speed as well. However I swapped the throttle that it came with out for one that reads the current voltage output. It also has as a key to lock the throttle so it cannot be engaged without the key being in and turned. (Won’t get stolen). Make sure to buy the right battery and motor as these are probably the most essential parts to the bike.

Motors brackets need to be cut off, and screw holes need to be drilled out on it a little to make the screws flush and recessed to the surface of motor to be mounted correctly. When installing electrical some wires will need to be spliced or pigtailed together. When using new motor you’ll need to take off the sprocket on it (reverse threaded, pain to take off) and put on the sprocket from the sx500. The new motors sprocket will be to big for original chain to fit which is why you need to do this. If you want to know any other parts I used I will provide links to them also✌️
My kit is showing up today! My new tired are running late so that will be next weekend. So stoked!

Last year I bought a used MX650. Did a 3000w motor kit. After I hooked everything up, the ECU shorted (fried itself). Was a sad experience after making it a 4 battery fully upgraded bike. Always make sure you get quality parts! (if you go cheap kit, it's very likely that the throttle won't work, or the controller will short out.)

👎 no. Dont see how that would even work. Leaving the battery sure thats doable but you only getting like 4 miles range. The controller its specifically programed for one motor at a set power point. Doubt it would work at all but if it did it would work as if it was still the stock motor

Popular razor 650mod adding a battery to turn it up from 36v to 48v the controller and motor will only support it for so long tho then people upgrade everything from there but that extra battery I hear will give extra range stock is like 6miles so maybe you'll get 8 and push you into the 20mph speed range
