Clothes aren't a big deal. There are other, vastly more grievous, errors in the movies. If THAT seems important, I worry about this series.

Hard AGREE! Clothes? Really? I hated the movies after watching Half Blood Prince. Tacky, tasteless, moneygrabs!

Really that’s the big misstep? Of all the omissions from the films, such as so much cut from Goblet of Fire, I feel like them wearing jeans really is the least of anyone’s concerns.

A VERY long time ago IGN posted an April fools video about a crime-drama show involving American Aurors. I think a show like that would actually have some potential

Inthought third years were allowed to qear modern attire while not in class from the books.

Cutting out Peter Pettigrew's Life Debt to Harry is probably more a sin than casual clothes.

Out of all the movies, Prisoner of Azkaban bothers me the most but the last thing I cared about was their clothes.

I completely disagree

this really never bothered me. there is so much the movies did wrong and this was not it.

While I agree on the school uniform issue, I disagree about the black pointy hats. They were never a big deal for the fans, and to the best of my recollection, JKR herself never mentioned them after the first book. Unlike the spiffy school uniforms, the hats added nothing to the aesthetic. Also, the logistical problems of keeping these cone-shaped hats on the child actors' heads while filming active scenes would be a nightmare. It would also make it harder to tell the characters apart in medium and long shots they're all wearing hats. Then there's the problem of the tall hats blocking elements of the set background and even actors, making the cinematographer's job a lot more challenging. Speaking for myself, I'd rather they restored Ravenclaw's bronze-and-blue colors from the books.

I am starting to believe more and more that AI is writing all these videos. Have been a subscriber for years and one more bad video away from unsubscribing.

What, you think that makes them owe Rowling slavish silence on every topic for the rest of their lives? They were hired as actors to do a job, and they delivered in spades. Given how many people discovered the series from the movies, you could argue that JKR owes them for part of her success!

This reboot exists to be much more faithful to the books and for JK to distance the franchise from the original actors after they stood for trans rights. So transparent lol
