This channel is very fair. I love the uconn freshman. They play tough against top teams. I would really like too see some of these freshman against better teams. I love Juju Watkins.

Thrilled with the Uconn freshmen have years of mostly failed classes. Having KK and Ashlynn start has worked out great, and they are becoming consistent players that mesh well with the upperclassmen. And game by game you can see Q adding to her game. She no longer only shoots 3s. Uconn's problem this season is that they lost those early big games, and don't have many chances left to improve their seeding for the tournament.

The good thing about being in a conference with only a little competition is you can rack up wins for your record with a good possibility of no losses in conference play. That leaves them with only 3 losses at the end of the year and all of them to as of now, a two or three seed and two one seeds. That most likely means UConn will get a two-seed in the tournament. If they are able to upset South Carolina then that's most likely going to a one-seed. Not saying they will go undefeated for the rest of the year but I can't see them having more than 5 losses.

Fantastic video and player breakdown! ❤ Iowa State looks really good for the future. Gamecock freshman are also getting lots of playing time which will pay huge dividends for Coach Staley. Followed up with at least a top 3 , 2024 recruiting class. Staley always seems to fill the gaps that see needs. Do you think she has been the premier recruiter for the last 6-7 years?

Yes, she’s definitely been the top recruiter in recent years. And there isn’t any sign of them slowing down. If they win the national championship this year they could be a potential dynasty. That would be 2 championships in the last 3 years with 4 straight final 4 appearances. And with their stacked recruiting classes they can maintain that level of success.

USC has got to run a better offense. They have TWO women that can create their own shot. Juju Watkins scores big, but it's hard. She can get easier shots by simple movement and positioning. More off the ball action - cuts to the basket, running the baseline, post ups, and spot up shots will do wonders for her efficiency.

I went to the USC/UCLA Game. Had a great time but the game was not well played. A lot of bad shots, turnovers, ball hogging, and cheap fouls.

Honestly, I predict NC State will go far this year. Not only because of freshman Zoe Brooks, but also because of Sania Rivers, former South Carolina player. Plus, NC State is currently ranked #3, behind South Carolina & UCLA; however, there is a long way to go. Also, NC State has 3 other freshman recruits in the top 100 that you failed to mention: Laci Steele, Mallory Collier, and Maddie Cox. I’m not sure if they get much playing time. It seems Coach Staley, South Carolina, and Coach Mulkey, LSU, prefers to mostly play seasoned players. SC there is Cloe Kitts who starts as a freshman, while Fulwiley and Johnson do not. LSU starts freshman Mikaylah Williams, while Rosario, Kent, and Valez do not. It seems both coaches prefer to play the seasoned transfers: Paopao, SC, and Lilith & Morrow, LSU. I mean, I can see why, with more experience playing at the collegiate level. Coach Geno, UCONN, to my understanding weren’t starting or playing some of his freshman either. But after losing three games & unforeseen injuries, I feel like he had no choice. It appears they’ve been looking & playing better, as of late.

That’s a very good analysis. I agree with everything you said. I think a big part of how much playing freshmen get early is how ready they are. Some develop faster than others.

Chloe is a sophomore. And she’s also a forward not a guard so Fulwiley and Johnson not starting has nothing to do with Kitts starting. Not sure about Kim, but Dawn plays ALL 11 of her players just about every game. Blowout or not she gets them minutes. Geno is forced to start his freshmen because his entire team is injured, had they had a completely healthy roster i can guarantee you those freshmen would be scraping for minutes.

@@jjaylanni Are you sure? Chloe Kitts is ranked #17 “FRESHMAN” high school recruit 2023. Check out ESPN HoopGurlz recruiting rankings. If that is the case, it does matter with Aliyah Boston in the WNBA now & Coach Staley needs big bodies in the paint. Unless the list is incorrect. The 2022 top rankings are Lauren Betts, who went from Stanford, to UCLA now, along with Kiki Rice, UCLA. No Chloe Kitts on the top 100 rankings of 2022, if she is indeed a sophomore.

I know you included Del Rosario in with the freshmen that don't play, but I expect her to play some big minutes in some SEC games coming up. Morrow or Reese could get into foul trouble at any time. Plus ADR has been looking a whole lot better as of late, albeit against weak competition.
