How green is Saint Helena?

St. Helena is one of the world's most isolated islands, located in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean, some 1,860 km west of the African continent.
Forced into energy self-sufficiency by its isolation, this British island relies essentially on diesel generators for the production of its electricity, supported by two small solar and wind power stations.
The main challenge is to increase the share of renewable energies in the face of ever-decreasing demand, as the island becomes emptier...
On-board reporter Agathe Roullin met Connect Saint Helena, the island's main electricity producer and distributor, to find out how Saint Helena sees its energy future.
