I sit at the top of a mountain road, on my way home. I stop and listen to this song, it helps me get through the stresses of the day. Made me remember that I am doing well, remember that he is larger than me. Don't know if anyone really gets what I feel. But it makes me cry and be thankful for my life that I am Blessed to have.

My father passed away May 11th. We were not able to have a funeral service for him, because of COVID. We are finally able to have a small church service in celebration of his life on Sept 19th. My Mom, my 3 siblings, his grandchildren and spouses, will be singing along with this medley, at the conclusion of the mass. Im hoping we are able to harmonize with you. I think this version is absolutely beautiful. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

Sometime in early April of 2017, my Pop was sick and in a lot of pain. My Nonnie called and asked me to try singing to him. He relaxed enough to fall asleep after I sang How Great Thou Art 3 times at his request. It became a special song for us. On June 10, 2018, I sang How Great Thou Art to him over the phone as he was ushered into the presence of our Lord and Savior and reunited with his bride. He took his last breath as I sang the verse "When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home what joy shall fill my heart. Then, I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim "My God How Great Thou Art!" This will always be such a special song for my family but even more so now imagining my Pop entering Heaven while this verse was sung. Thank you, Anthem Lights!

The lyrics say when Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home what joy shall fill my heart, that is Jesus second coming, with a great sound of a trumpet and the dead in Christ will rise first and he will take us home to heaven as the lyrics say. So his/her pop is not rejoicing with the angels right now but asleep in the ground which is called death. One of many examples in the bible you can find in Acts 7:57-60. I listen to it from my mobi every so often..brings back good memories to someone I loved who died...took his own life..age 32 (after we split up) for something that cld've been resolved) ..and yes he took his own life..I've never 4given myself to this day..he was my husband and I ...In my head I picture him in his early 30's..still keep any photos ive got. But none past the age he died!! Im in my 70s now and can only see him in photo's when he was 32-year-old. .there's times when it comes back to me..but cant change anything!! That song brings tears but at the same time reminds me of my husband..so thanx xx

Why does a God of such greatness love a sinner of such worthlessness? I can not understand, fathom, or comprehend it, but yet, I drop to my knees in humbleness.

I like the fact that our Christian community always stay united as one in Christ from all parts of the world no matter what!Even with a pandemic, election result dispute in the USA, boycott of French products and etc. We're still united and will never be divided by worldly affairs.Amen to that!

I don't know what it is, but this song affects me the same way, every time, no matter who is singing it. O Lord God, how great Thou art!

God's power is awesome.his greatness no one can fathom. He is abundant goodness, pure righteousness and glorious splendor.
