It isn't, but it's based on Mexican Elotes (Corn on the cob). It features all the normal ingredients commonly put on the corn except they used popcorn instead. That's why it's "Mexican" popcorn.

Every time you ask they come up with something new, but its recounting the story of how an actual person died, like grim Dr. Doofenshmirtz backstories.

I like how Max's idea of an exorcism is tying Goofball to a bed, Goofball doing a single ghost thing, getting into an argument, and then physically attacking the non-corporeal being. Probably because if Max even touched a cross, he'd be the one to be exorcised on account of the fact that he's made some truly cursed cartoons. EDIT: There, I fixed my illiteracy. I don't want to offend all those internet ghosts, lest they haunt my router or something.

I absolutely believe Goodball's story. My father went to make a withdrawal and was shot dead by the money in the bank.

Ok I followed the popcorn recipe because I have nothing better to do and found out they taste a lot better when you add garlic and onion powder

I’m no voice acting expert, but Max actually seems like a really competent voice actor which is very abnormal for internet animators.

To be fair, I have noticed that there’s a distinct way of speaking between white people and Black people. At least down in the south. The way they speak with their accent is different? As well, older black ladies tend to say sugar or sweetheart Compared to white older ladies. But that’s just my experience via fast food. It is not the same for everybody regardless of skin color.

In Brazil, there's a comic book about a ghost named Penadinho. He looks like a child ghost but was later retconned to have actually been a very tall man when he died; he was just crushed in a horrible accident that rendered his ghost short. Come to think of it, he kind of looks like Goofball, too.

I actually think Goofball died by choking on Mexican Popcorn while watching Dog Day Afternoon, as most of the comments here state It would explain why Goofball knows how to make Mexican Popcorn, and why he claims his death follows the plot of Dog Day Afternoon.

Yep! Also I noticed right after Max asked the question of how he died Goofball immediately starts coughing and almost chokes on the popcorn he’s eating while looking offended. Truthfully telling Max that he died by choking probably would have seemed embarrassing or a dumb way to die to him. So instead he makes up an elaborate cool death story involving the president and ISIS while Sprinkling in details of the movie he was watching before death.

I wanted to try a inverted color filter when goofball transformed into a black ghost (5:58) and when he turned black with the filter on he was kind of a green ghost

The part at the end with Dunkey got me.

Actually, if you plan on making the Mexican popcorn, there's a special kind of mayonnaise used for mexican street corn (which is basically the same thing as the popcorn). The mayo already contains the lime in it so you wouldn't need to use the lime juice, and thus your mexican popcorn will be soggy no more (I would also suggest the brand McCormick for the mayo)
