I don't think that's a detail to be honest. It sounds more like something he added after recording his lines the first time, an addendum basically. His voice at that point didn't indicate a lower volume or muffling, it was just different audio quality.

Its actually insane that none of this was cringe or felt overly self-indulgent. This was a very good cartoon Max

Actually, he technically didn't clickbait. He and Goofball had drama about Max's dreams. *"All Dream Drama Drama Explained 2021"* The video explains about Max's drama about his dreams, all of his dreams that he wants to come true. But then Goofball argued with Max about how dumb Max is for believing that his dreams would come to be. And they argued which that is drama. So the video title isn't clickbait. It's just the thumbnail though...

@@JazGalaxy happiness with one self from the task one has completed I believe is a decent definition. He's not happy with his work. Maybe he compares himself to others and it's bringing him down. Maybe he's scared that eventually people will move on and forget about him. Could even be the fact that he wants to improve but is completely stuck with this style. We don't know. I do hope though that he finds it and finds his own source of happiness. Its not easy for some people to reach that goal. Hell it took me until 20 just to find my own fashion style and be happy with my choice. Life is just like that though. People feel empty if they don't find that one thing that can make living worth it.

When Goofball mentioned about a 46 woman bagging groceries at the supermarket, I remembered an elderly ex-coworker who is a bagger. It kinda made me think, why would she be a bagger? She can be anything else she wants to be, she can work a different job but instead she's stayed working for a grocery company for YEARS. I've also worked for that company- for 6 years until I jetted because that cashier job made me feel like I was in purgatory. Same customers, a$$hole customers, goals, never getting enough hours either but of COURSE it was a good paying job. What sucked more was seeing old friends or other people who were doing much better financially and were totally successful, from the looks of it, of course. I later ended up working an at-home call center job but my anxiety started to affect me with each phone call. I quit that job because I did NOT like getting yelled at by elderly clients over dumb medication refills. I still have a long way to go in finding my way to a better career and financial stability. Until then, I will wallow and figure sh*t out. Edit: I may delete this. I guess I got kinda vulnerable and in the moment. Btw love ya, Max! I admire you, man.

This video really opened my eyes to the people around me. Max talking about his problems made me realize that some friends who went offline or don't respond usually come from a lack of mutual goodness and that pushes them away from my talk about "how funny this video is" or "how horrible this issue is" and now I've come to realize I should be more aware of the people around me and how they feel instead of only me.

I’m not over exaggerating. This is one of the best videos on KZread

Max, I don’t know if you are ever going to read this, but I hope you do. Your videos make my day. I periodically check if you uploaded a new video. You are hilarious, thought provoking, and your talent is undeniable. It actually kind of hurt hearing you talk about yourself in this way. But for many of us, it hits close to home and we can relate to your struggles. I know it doesn’t seem like you have done much or made an impact, but trust me you have. I’ve been a fan for years and I’m proud to say you really have made an effect on my life. Thanks Max.

im not sure its quite that simple. Max is a great writer, he's not just dumping it out there. The Max in the show is a character, and yes you can see elements of himself through it, but in reality this character's words arent his words necessarily. Just like Goofball's words arent his words, despite him writing them. Its all in the realm of fiction. However, yes, fiction is meant to say something about reality. So I dont know, it might be more applicable to people in general, think, do you relate to this fictional Max character? What can you gain from that? Idk, just how I look at these videos I guess.

And if you respond with something like “interesting interactions, and funny yet thought provoking dialogue” then what makes something good, what is good, and why is it seen as good. And what if max wasn’t a “talented” and “funny” animator. Would his life not be worth anything to anyone because he doesn’t provide something to the world that people value. Because guess what, that’s what the world is built off of, people wanting something beneficial in return, that’s why people have friends, they pay with time to have experiences that they enjoy, but if you can’t provide that because either you’re unlucky or you don’t meet the expectations of what a “fun” and “good” person is, you’re just flesh garbage taking up space; biting your time until you expire. Resurrect Hitler, kill the blacks, rape the children, Help is fake, edgy means nothing, noise is pain. Reply little wanna liver.

This is what being isolated with mental health issues does. You're all alone with your thoughts and they tend to be very critical and then you get REAL deep and introspective. Go out for a walk in the park, do some volunteer work, and say hello to old people, it does wonders.

It feels kinda weird to see people as talented as you and max have these types of problems , since to an outsider its kinda like you dont expect the creators you like to have self esteem issues because theyre so good at what they do , and you forget that although you deem their work to be amazing , they , since theyve crossed that skill treshold, probably dont see it that way. I guess the grass is always greener and the only way to be happy is to come to terms with the reality that if you cant find a way to be satisfied with yourself now , getting material goods , a relationship or even improving your skills isnt going to magically fix it.

these videos are uncomfortable to watch, the fact they hit so close to alot of daily struggles from not just me but people around me it makes me uncomfortable but i cant just not stop watching, it feels helpful and comforting to see people even a big person like this making a godly show that truly shows what they love as a person even if it may be sad or what not. i have been going through the videos again and again since theyre just so fun and exciting to watch, every little detail.

I’ve actually recorded myself arguing with myself, it was a bit enlightening and got me to actually seek a therapist to hash things out and yeah I’m a happier person for it. The recording was eye opening to say the least

What makes this whole thing even more surreal is when you realize that Max is essentially talking about himself... TO HIMSELF. This is a super painful and uncomfortably accurate representation of what it's like to be alone with your thoughts. Because sometimes, your worst enemy... is yourself. This is why maintaining your mental health is crucial.

This is why we find Goofball dislakable. We all have a little Goofball inside. For example I technically have no friends at 23. Today I tried to hang out with some people but I just ended up looking pathetic awkward and desperate. The rest of the afternoon I was beating myself for it, as if a little voice keep making fun of me /criticizing me for it. Yeah, me too. Especially since I’m in a similar state of mind myself currently. I’m unhappy and depressed, and don’t like myself. In some ways, Max venting his own feelings made me feel better in knowing I’m not the only one struggling, but also so sad because no one deserves to feel what it’s like to hate yourself or feel constantly miserable and worthless.

@@sacredsin7282 I fuckin feel that. The only way I got over hating me was by telling myself that this ideation of my personality is fake. That it's just a coping mechanism to assign meaning to a meaningless universe. Once I realized that, I figured out I could just choose to be whatever I wanted and what I wanted to be was someone who loved their self.

@@brad6220 I wouldn't consider myself to be aligned politically with Max, but then again, but You need to understand that there are different flavors of the right. There is the alt-right, who make race realist arguments, and then there are neo-cons who make culture-based arguments. The switch from the first one to the second one is SUBSTANTIAL, because the first one is genuinely repugnant, and the second one is your drunk uncle at a grill. I'm not saying that Max held far-right beliefs in the past, but he toned down some of his more criticized jokes. And Your funny attempt to ascribe this huge weight to the word 'retarded' is amusing, especially to a neurodivergent person like me.

This episode made me emotional, and that's the power of a true artist.

It's not clickbait, he did, in fact, spend the entire video discussing the deep rooted internal drama with himself and his dreams. This is definitely what we all clicked the video for.

Max, as a professionaly trained musician I assure you that not only you can draw, animate and write amazing scripts but you seem to have musical ear and you sing very nicely. It was already apparent back in your Minecraft video.

It's actually reassuring that such a talented animator, whose stuff has been a staple on KZread flash culture since the 2010's, have almost the exact same problems as me. I have a mentality like this same condescending intellectual problem I also suffered co dependency and dissociative tendencys so this really hits home I hope you and me and everyone else suffering mental health problems can heal and find happiness

I may have never had a big following, but I understand this so much, I’ve been feeling like this for a pretty long time. You deserve happiness, I mean it. I legit broke down crying at the hamster comparison. I’m stuck in a similar rut and was just smoking a bowl when you said the smoking weed, playing video games, and masturbating thing. I lost it man. Your work does not go unnoticed though man. Thinking about it, had a few customers come up to me at work and told me that we did such a great job and how the place is so different now and, it just felt GOOD knowing that what you’re doing isn’t going unnoticed. You’re an amazing artist man and I just want to wish you well and hope you find some happiness in this thing we’re all going through.

Thank you for telling us your feelings, at the end of the day we’re all human and our feelings do matter, sometimes you don’t have to be happy or any good feeling.
