For me, I have spent around 300 hours in total with the T300RS and I had to fix it once because the logic board died. Did get an early version T300 with a broken drive mechanism with everything else working for free tho so this wasn`t an issue for me. When drifting I DEFINETLY want the wheel to turn faster when transitioning, I often find myself kinda helping it along by throwing it into the opposite direction so it skips the "windup" time it would usally need to get the wheel going. But you get used to this no problem with time, but it feels like getting used to a baby crying. It´s annoying and it´s always present when in use and it limits what you can do but if you work around it it´s surely livable. For ANYTHING else, I think a gear or belt driven wheel is plenty for anyone who isn´t looking to become a pro at their division, but with DDs now beeing to comparatively cheap compared to what they used to cost 2-5 years ago it´s surely worth thinking about especially when building a first setup. Also consider noise, the DDs are virtually silent, while the belt or gear driven ones make a good deal of noise considering there is mechanics going on in there.

So, coming from outside the ecosystem (G27), how much do you recommend this? I specced out what I think I need (Base + Boost Kit + Wheel + Pedals), and it's coming up north of €800. Also needing to be bought are still the H-pattern shifter and a rig to mount everything to. All this kind of pushes it (far) out of the "budget" section for me. Admittedly, my only reference is a G27, but I'm not sure if I can justify this to myself... :P Compared to other DDs though, it's certainly great, but the rest of the things required for a setup are so pricey... Which wheel did you use, and which did you recommend? I selected the "CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC" since it appears to be the only "round" selection with enough buttons and paddle shifters.

ive had a g29 for 5 years. i wanted the csl dd but like you it was too expensive, and add a hefty sum on top of that for freight forwarding./ customs/ taxes/ duties etc as they dont ship here. so i just bought a t300rs and some t-lcm pedals. going to get a cheap h pattern shifter off aliexpress, reviews say it feels as good if not better than the expensive t8ha. with the g29 even after countless hours i could not drift at all, a couple of hours after getting the t300 i can drift most corners in garaz tube. its a night and day difference for me. also i get far more road feel etc in dirt rally which was hard to play on the g29 unless i turned ffb really low. and the no/ low center deadzone thing helps. so i highly recommend the t300 if you want to upgrade. its still super pricey in comparison to the g27/g29 though. p.s im also going to get a second quick release adapter and an aftermarket wheel for it which will be cool.

Hey! Very nice video! I was wondering about the noise of the CSL compared to the T300RS while drifting specifically? Is the CSL REALLY quiet in comparison? Because my biggest issue with the T300 is the FFB noise it's doing when countersteering. The loud "vvvvvvvvv" noises (when the wheel spins) which go through the walls and is annoying for people at home, especially during evenings.
