The Deliverer is absolutely broken on a VATS Penetrator build with crit banking and Reaper's sprint. You can effectively shoot through walls and obliterate crowds of enemies before they have time to react.

The Deliverer becomes SSS Tier on version 1.0 of the game (console only) because of MacCready's Killshot perk being bugged to increase the VATS hit chance on headshots to *2000%* instead of 20% Add Penetrator, Concentrated Fire, Gunslinger, Ninja and Grim Reaper's Sprint and the Deliverer becomes the best sniper rifle in the game because your shots will never miss.
Fun fact, the weight of the fallout 4 weapons are so wonked out that the base deliverer you get from tommy, nothing added or taken off, weighs as much as a loaded Desert Eagle Mark XIX A 50 AE handgun weighs as much as a 380 pistol that has a pound and a half of weight in total Whoever did the balancing of weapon stats on fallout 4, i hope became a janitor lol

They had the same problem with Skyrim. They made the one handed war ax weight something like 11lbs. When it should in reality be more like 2lbs. Bethesda is clueless about these things.

I think the deliverer should've been an A tier pistol given how amazing it is with VATS and sneak attacks. The regular 10mm is good but honestly requires a good legendary effect for it to be viable late game. Also, I hate how they kept the same model for Fallout 76...
Deliverer is fantastic. It's especially great if you enjoy using vats and a sneak playstyle.

They suck true but I'm more annoyed at the near total lack of unique wepaons that appear any different than just being a regular gun with a random effect slapped on it that you could probably find elsewhere as a legendary. It really sucks the fun of trying to explore and find them in the first place.

A wounding 10mm was one of my favorite guns I ever found. I would pop a few shots and take cover and watch the enemies health go down before coming back out and hitting them again.

Wounding effect is busted on weapons with high rate of fire. A Wounding Minigun with an Accelerated Barrel will absolutely destroy a Behemoth with a few seconds of sustained fire even without and damage upgrades.
The weights on items in Fallout 4 are really weird, especially on weapons and armor. I don't know if the unit of measurement is mean to be a 1 to 1 representation of pounds anymore. But the idea of having a bolt action rifle that weighs more than a typewriter is bizarre
10mm is one of my favs in this game. I found one with the legendary effect of shooting an extra bullet, then I modified it to look bulky and stupid and it became my primary weapon for the rest of the game, and it was very fun. it was strong enough against most engagements, but not strong enough to make them all too easy
Also ngl even when you're not using a vats centered build you can still make good use out of this and crits in general. Deliverer + Caltrop abuse (target caltrops in vats) = free crits on the go
My most recent play through I got one with the bleed effect. Really good to just mag dump into anything trying to come up and touch you.
Can you make a FO4 video about cans? You did a great job on chems, and there so many different kinds of cans in the Commonwealth...
Ignored the 9 mm in New Vegas for a while. Today I miss it by a lot in Fallout 4 and pick the Pipe Revolver.

Nice to see the series continue into 4. Great early game weapon making the junk guns weirdly obsolete before you even see one.
@Justanotherconsumer

The junk guns are handy because they can be rifles instead and rifles are better long term.
.38 is a very common pistol cartridge, I doubt it's a typo. Any cop movie from 80s, there will be cops with a .38 revolver.
The basic 10mm Pistol is great if you get a good Legendary effect. I got one once with an effect that slowed time when i ADS, and was able to take out a Mirelurk Queen with just it. As for the Deliverer, I don't like the fact that it only has Glow Sights. The Reflex Sights have a bit of zoom, so it's easier to hit enemies at mid-range,while the Glow Sights the Deliverer gets have no zoom, so it's hard to reliably hit enemies atmid range.
the fallout 4 saga starts now
Bethesda should’ve just added 9mm to the game for the self loading versions of the pipe guns and made the .38 caliber a base option for the pipe revolver and bolt action guns then chamber the Deliverer in 9mm that would allow them to slightly boost the 10mm damage
I love using the Deliverer to bank crits quickly and cheaply. The damage becomes negligible in midgame, but its utility rocks. A tier for me, personally. Do the musket next. It's so stupid, it deserves to be looked at sooner rather than later!
I frankly prefer this design to the Fallout 3 10mil .Tied with the Fallout 1 10mil Magazine Revolver .
this series will be very short given fo4 has like, 5 weapons lol
Bois packing a drum cannon
I found hardened piercing tends to be the best with a vast majority of auto guns as it provides 40% armour pen. That is nothing to scoff at as it drops armour usually by atleast 80 for most enemies.
I can tell you, without even starting the video, that it will deal with all common human enemies, ghouls, low-armored mutant creatures, and still plink away at super mutants for the most part. With sharpshooting and VATS, it's still okay against normal Mirelurks and at least some of the robots. If you can get a good Legendary 10mm Pistol to upgrade, it will carry you even farther. Really, the only issue here is that you will take a long time if you wanna use this against anyone in heavy armor, Deathclaws, Mirelurk Queens, etc. I carried such a pistol throughout my playthrough, and it was good for quick holdout-and-shoot situations.
The Deliverer is my favorite on a sneaky VATS build, that and Kellogg's 44 until I find a decent Western Revolver.
I got the 10mm with the double Bullet modifier. Which I use when I not in stealth.

It really sucks that the second shot isn't affected by any of the damage perks on Two-Shot weapons though.
If you’re lucky enough to get an effect that’s crazy powerful for full auto weapons like wounding, crippling, or explosive, the 10mm is probably the best to get it for. Any bigger gun will get diminishing returns for how much it weighs and how hard to obtain the ammo is.

Not with DLC, with DLC the Handmade is just too strong and you can easily get thousands upon thousands of rounds for it. (About 3000 every 3 days if I remember right.)

@@hydra9627 it’s definitely a better weapon but by the time I get one and enough ammo, nothing in the game is a threat and my bullets will out damage the legendary effect. I just started my first survival play through and got a wounding 10mm at about level 10 and boy was it a game changer. Even a wounding pipe gun could be something you use the entire game. As long as you can tag the enemy with your bullets its doesn’t matter how much base damage they have, just that you get out a lot of them and fast. (If only the .22 smg was back.)

@@mmmapplesauce1673 just annoying when you need 50 rounds for a normal super mutant until you get a few lvls in the pistol perk and the upgrading perk, meaning you're like lvl 10 at the least. so i'd rather just buy the overseer's guardian with the stuff i find along the way (i.e. pre war money in lexington and the gold bars in the basement in sanctuary) and avoid the level dependency altogether.
The 10mm is almost brokenly good. As it can easily carry you throughout the game on any difficulty. Its so good to the point that in speedruns its the main weapon they use as the ammo is stupidly common and the gun is just overall good.
@i_am_ergo
10 күн бұрын
Speedruns are done on Very Easy and you naturally get only a couple of level-ups before finishing the game (meaning that all enemies have extremely low health). That's a really poor example. Unless you bum rush the game and complete the final quest by level 10, the 10 mm absolutely sucks in the lategame on Very Hard, unless you find an Explosive one and go full auto. Then it's alright.
I wouldn't say the .38 is a typo per say, but its an error in the games system. The computer recgognizes the decimal and thinks "Oh when you have a decimal anything that would be zero after any number without something in betwen is unnecessary." For example, it has .308 for the hunting rifle, the zero stays because it's between the 3 and 8, now if it's .380, the in-game computer realizes there's an unneeded zero, so it translates it as .38, assuming it doesn't need the zero as its implied to be there since theres no numbers following the zero.
@i_am_ergo

You're confusing code and data. Strings that never change and are for the player's eyes only don't get processed and are returned as is, i.e. a string that contains ".380" will never get its value shortened to ".38" just because. No coding language does that.
I love your NV content. You wear my go-to for that game. It seems like you compare Fallout 4 to NV and the real world often. F4 is just a game, and it may not make sense, but I wish you would just comment on the weapons within the framework of F4. Just a thought. Thank you for your work.

Unfortunately Fo4 weapons tend to be really ugly and weirdly designed. I believe it's mostly due to them making power armor do massive compared to previous games. It's one of the things I like best about NV that they make the guns make real world sense.
