Fallout 4 is a 2015 action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fourth main game in the Fallout series and was released worldwide on November 10, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The game is set within an open world post-apocalyptic environment that encompasses the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region known as "The Commonwealth".
Fallout 4 takes place in the year 2287, 10 years after the events of Fallout 3 and 210 years after the Great War, a war between the United States and China over natural resources that ended in a nuclear holocaust in 2077. The setting is post-apocalyptic, covering a region that includes Boston and other parts of New England known as "The Commonwealth". Unlike the previous titles, Fallout 4's story begins on the day the bombs dropped: October 23, 2077.

Couple of things you may have covered in other videos, but these are my thoughts: 1. Assign a settler to a supply line early. This means you can build stuff despite a sorry selection of generic junk in the settlement's own workshop, especially if it's linked to your "master workbench". 2. Assign all the supply lines to a single base (I always choose Sanctuary Hills), and as soon as you hit the level for the fast travel while encumbered perk, routinely shift the contents of the workbenches to your main hub, so all the settlements get the benefit. 3. Don't make the rookie error I made first time I did this, and assign your settlers from that hub, as they still count towards your population, and your settlement will be eerily quiet! As per point 1, assign them a single settler to supply your master workbench as soon as you get the chance. 4. Another good reason to have Brahmin is they produce fertiliser in large quantities, one of only two ingredients for making a bucketload of Jet (the other being plastic) which, in turn, brings a lot of caps when sold by said bucketload (don't do drugs, kids... just make and sell 'em!) 5. After the Battle of Bunker Hill, you get that as a settlement, which allows you to build caravan trading posts in your settlements. Also worth mentioning that even though she looks, sounds, and (probably) smells like a one-headed Brahmin herself, Trashcan Carla is worth visiting, because she sells Shipments of Oil, (25 per purchase), which is essential for building turrets (and I do like my turrets...) I know that's technically more than a couple but, to quote Lucas Miller, "That advice is free..."

Another cool thing about dropping weapons and scrapping them is; it reduces the meter that limits how much you can build.

Don't scrap them. Just drop them and hit store, instead of scrap, so you can drop them again.

The gamma gun drops the build meter quicker out of all weapons.

Here is a tip for your mental health: Put Marcy and Jun Long on provisioner duty, so they aren't nearby all the time, saying all the annoying things they both say. As an alternative, just moving them to a different settlement shuts their traps as well.

I wish I'd thought of this... you'd think it was obvious, but nope! I do, however, make Marcy and Mama Murphy wear the most ridiculous outfits (currently including Halloween masks), because they both annoy me equally (Sturges comes a close third with his "I can't take all the credit", which should be closer to "I can't take any of the credit", so he sometimes ends up in a sequin dress and chef hat). And I make Mama Murphy work for a living. None of this fancy chair malarkey! But I should have sent them to Hangman's Alley and Murkwater, two places I tend to forget about.

@@raphaelmerriman4901 Hilarious. I give Mama Murphy that first Jet request, to unlock the chair, then I put the chair somewhere I never go. Sometimes I dress the room all up like a fortune teller, but mostly I just per her far away from me. One time I made a big pyramid and put her on top, like an Aztec king. But I never listen to her talk; she is annoying.

If you find yourself with more than you can carry and there is a weapons or armor workbench nearby you can scrap a few to make movement easier. Yes, the scrap weighs less than the assembled weapon or armor.

Also, just don't pick that stuff up, in the first place. The ratio of weight to value, is awful for both weapons and armor.

I rarely scrape weapons. They are worth too much money & the main items (steel, etc.) are super common

I scrap all weapons, especially pipe rifles to get copper and automatic laser rifles to get fiber optics. I have no interest in collecting caps, except for some early building materials. I prefer to use what I find from playing the game and clearing settlements. It makes the early game more challenging when ammo is limited, and I'm easily self sufficient by mid-game with thousands of wood and steel and manufacturing my own ammo.
