@@JusteDeTeve-mm4bgNormally I would agree with you but I think Ugarte is more than capable of rotating under pressure. Our system has too many flair players and we desperately need stable no nonsense and high volume passers. Creating chances is not as big a priority as gaping spaces in midfield(at this point at least). Rice is not too dissimilar making a 1000 lateral passes and people talk like he's the hypothetical child of Pirlo and Busquets because he plays behind Odegaard who does all the line breaking

And also because our "system" requires it. We don't create chances in any other way.. not through shifting the opposition around to create space for our forwards or getting our wide players up high to cross or having a skilful enough dribbler to displace the opposition numbers. ​@@zeeone4492

All along Amrabat did not get the chance in his best position which is DM... mean while he was tried out at left back.. that was Ten hag fault.. his DM games were perfect

I think he's profile is Ideal for Kobbie and Bruno, and is within our budget. Issues with progressing the ball becomes less of a problem with Kobbie next to him but also with Martinez behind him. Add his defensive attitudes also with being secure on the ball, while not perfect , could be a really good signing considering where we are as a club currently

Wen Amrabat finally got his chance in DM in the final 4 games,, suddenly Mainoo and Bruno looked free and dangerous in attack and United looked hard to break down in midfield...so Amrabat can remain as a back up and for squad depth

I don't know about rabiot personally. he's been given so many chances to move to Manchester United....and has always turned themdown. good player but nothing he offers for the future considering his age...I guess its good from a free but I just don't like how he's turned us down so many times...and his high ass wages

Most of the people here really don’t know UGARTE he has his limits as any other player compared to Onana he has a greater passing range ability as well as progressive passing. Also,t his agressiveness is a must to our midfield

Rabiot is 29yrs old. Plays as a no. 8 in mainoos position. Wants a 300k per week salary and big signing on fee for agent mom. He can't play as a Solo DM.

I’d take that as well if it did happen. Yes, Rabiot plays Mainoo’s position but I think people are forgetting we’re about to embark on a 60+ game season. Not only will players be fatigued but we run the risk of more injuries again.

Manuel Ugarte is strong and very good performing as a Defensive Midfielder. Manchester United must quickly bring him. ✌️

Given Mainoos skillset and with having Martinez behind him, i think he's a perfect fit in Utds team. We need an aerialy dominant cb brought in and Kerkez on the left would offer us a lot with Dalot on the opposite side. We would be a lot more stable in different phases of play.

Mount, Mainoo, two technically good ball playing midfielders. Couple that with someone like Ugarte and another good back up dm and we will be a good possession team Of course we will need a good ball playing defender to partner martinez at cb. I believe if we do things right this summer, we can build on from here to have a solid title contending team in a span of 2-3-4 years

I was waiting eagerly for your review cuz i know how much u value him but we have to be realistic we are looking for that sort of industrious midfielder to partner Mainoo but at the same time complement him and that's not the case at all, out of position we will be a target for clipped balls in the middle especially with Licha behind them and most importantly in position it's not a rocket science to realise that EPL is far more fast and physical than Ligue 1 so he will not have a fraction of a second on the ball plus although he is a very good carrier of the ball he tend to to it more than usual as he couldn't trust his passing abilities and that is the reason why he was not a regular starter for a position based side in a lower leaugue which we aim to be, if we are going to snatch this type of player it has to be partenered with a different profile to Mainoo or as a flat 3 in midfield which we don't have solutions for either

Please look at Matts Weifer of Feyenord. He is a proper single pivot holding midfielder and is aerially dominant for playing behind kobbie and bruno

He is the defense we need behind kobbiee and bruno is the security they need to ran rampant he has high pass accuracy great tackler btw he is only 23 a lot of room to imprvoe his arsenal and become even better

The safeness kinda sounds like its been drilled into him by the coaches hes had! He was progressive at sporting!

I like the player

He is probably the ideal defensive midfielder. We don't need him to be a Frenkie De Jong or Rodri, we just need him to break up play, make simple passes and help out the back 4.

I watched a lot of Sporting games when Manuel Ugarte played. I really like his profile and a type pf player that Man United lacking. The reason that PSG might let him go is because they have a bunch of players in his position. Vitinha, Warren Zaïre-Emery and the new signed brazilian youngster Gabriel Moscardo. They are different typ of players but Gabriel Moscardo is the one who is more or less in the same mold.

I'd love us to sign Caqueret in additon to Ugarte so we don't over-rely on Mainoo and so we don't lose technical quality when we make subs. If we sold Casemiro and kept Amrabat, we'd have him in rotation with Ugarte, Caqueret and maybe Scott/Hannibal in rotation with Mainoo. I'd like to keep Eriksen to rotate as the 10 with Bruno too if there are no clear prospects in the academy like Lacey.

In my opinion, I think united should sign youssouf fofana. He's leaving monaco and we can get him for a lower fee. True ugarte still is good but I feel fofana just edges for me in terms of fee and passing. Amrabat can leave so that we play oyedele or collyer as the backup cdm.

Good player. But, id prefer Onana over him. Onana is a player we cant afford to miss out on. He plays DM for his country and ive been watching him a lot this Euros. He's a great player, ground eater and a recycler. Him plus activate the the buy option in Amrabat's deal would do us good.

Amadou Onana would be a better fit next to Mainoo than Ugarte imo. With Licha and Mainoo in the starting 11 the CDM needs to be aerially dominant imo, therefore I think Onana is the best option on the market for what United need.

But just like AJ said in this vid, if the other 2 midfielders (Mainoo and Bruno) are good at progressing the ball, the CDM doesn't necessarily need to be great at it. It's definitely a concern Although, I do feel it is largely down to the system at PSG where he is often required to play as a solo midfielder If he was restored back into a double-pivot I think the defensive side of his game would improve If played as a solo-pivot, I don't currently feel as though he has the skillset to excel

@@g_od2080 The reason his tackling numbers are high is because he attempts ALOT of tackles, inevitably when a player attempts alot of tackles, they tend to complete but also fail quite a large amount of them

He isn't a screen he's a ball winning midfielder. For it to work, Mainoo needs to be played deeper and encouraged to be a regista and up his pass volume, Ugarte abdicates responsibility in terms of progression. Ugarte has improved dealing with the transitions since sporting, so hopefully he can plug the gaps with more coaching, but he's not ready to deal with the ocean that we leave when we press, but TBF, no one is.

Sign two of these three and our midfield is sorted. Fofana/ Andre trindade/ Mats wiefer. Total of 45 - 55million Sell casemiro, mctominay and ericksen.

But his dribble past is quite disturbing, for me I feel like onana is what we need and out of possession monster covers a lot of grounds and an aerial beast, and can do a simple and accurate pass Ugarte also had only 16% forward passes at PSG, that’s very poor, he does only sideways passes same thing we scold Mc tominay for

Passes into final third was better at sporting. Think about it this way. How often casimero criticises this season for not keeping it simple and just take care of ball. When you had Bruno and mainoo also trying passes we were turning over possession too much. Might not be a bad thing. He looks better than mc tominay

@@prospersunday4754 After giving it great deal of thought, I realise that my issues with McTominay prompted my response, more than my admiration of Ugarte! I see where you are coming from with your concerns, but I just see him as an upgrade on present day Casemiro and (because I really want him gone...) a much more suitable candidate for DM than McTominay. There are much better alternatives than Ugarte because of the reasons you mentioned, but I believe that our squad will have enough quality around him to compensate for his shortcomings.

Rabiot and Onana will be great will be great piece of business

When the opposition is committed to pressing man to man , United can do what they sometimes did with Casemiro let him make a run forward taking away players and making spaces for more technical mfs (midfielders not mothaf***ers) like Mainoo (or Erikson previously) to drop in to receive the ball.

These days, get the player (willing though) to watch clips of Busquet and replicate the principles. in 3 years, we should have an improved Busquet version - IMHO.

Remember that stat means he gets to the man a lot (covers a lot of ground).. Also, consider PSG don't press well, so it's usually a 2v1 situation...

Matic with the ball was actually really good. He had vision, passing range, composure, elegance.... ugarte looks more like a dog, chasing everyone and biting them. And then plays hot potato with the ball

I prefer Yousouff Fofana any day.

So he's a less athletic McTominay. I don't feel this offers that much more than McFred era (They were underrated but also could have done better)

But if playing from the back is the reason, especially under pressure, then I will keep Amrabat rather than trust Ugarte who hasn't played in the EPL or for Manutd. Amrabat needed that time to settle just like other new players. Also remember, the ManUtd Jersey weighs more heavily on players than any other club's - not even real madrid.
