Please don’t be afraid to go back to confession and church dear. I do the best I can because I’m disabled. I watch the mass on KZread at times. Right now the brakes on my vehicle are going out. Just waiting for some money to come through and I will be getting them fixed. I have found some channels that offer perpetual adoration too! Don’t give up dear!

Heidi Do begin to seek guidance from a Priest. Just know that some often water down the truth so as to not scare people off from continuing to grow in faith and knowledge of God. Do get all in for God. Pray the rosary Daily. It is powerful. Go to confession at minimum weekly as you return to God. Then as you are grounded in the faith and begin to eliminate the inclinations of sin, I'd say biweekly Confession is sufficient. If you have unanswered questions from your priest, sad to say you might have to resort to watching KZread videos to learn about your faith. I believe we for many years have been poorly catechized, but this does not mean we cannot receive the catechism we need. Live in a state of Grace. That is key. We do that by making a valid confession. Meaning we confess ALL of our sins, with a firm purpose of amendment or never intend to commit them again. Then receive the Eucharist in a state of grace. Never receive in the state of known mortal Sin. God is kind and merciful. So be patient with yourself. But be truthful with yourself. As you grow in the faith, your awareness of past sins will become glaringly clear. Do not despair. The devil wants us to despair and believe we are lost or unforgivable. The devil is a liar so don't believe him. I began my search/return for God some 27 years ago after living as a person of the world. In short many sins that offended God. God has done all that He needs to do to provide for our Salvation. We simply need to embrace it and enter into it. Jesus Gave us the Catholic Church and the Sacraments. He did His part now we have to do ours. Our salvation rests on our being obedient to teachings He gives us in His church. The number one command of God is to Love Him with our whole heart soul mind and strength. Many weekly church goers don't do that. Many go to Sunday Mass and that is the full extent of their faith. There are 6 other days of the week in which we are to Love God completely. A verse in scripture says "Herein is how you know you love Me, (Me being God) you keep My commandments. Loving God in this case is as simple as being obedient to God's commands. Those commands are not simply the 10 commandments given to us by God to Moses. Though in those ten, we have a foundation to work with. Another thing we all should do is read the Sacred Scriptures. In them God speaks to our hearts one verse at a time. We may read a chapter thirty times then all of a sudden we hear a verse speak plainly to us. But if we are not reading it, or if we fail to go to Mass and we are not hearing it, we cheat ourselves of accessing the Mind of God "The Word of God is quick and powerful, cutting even to the dividing asunder of joints and morrow and is a discerner of the thoughts of the heart." (Paraphrased) Or "Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the by the Word of God".... God does not want you or anyone to be a mediocre Catholic. He wants all of us to be All in for Him. "The Lukewarm He will vomit out of His Mouth". Do find someone (Priest preferably but not necessarily) who can come alongside you in your return to the faith Journey. If you do it right it will be hard. Anything worthwhile is worth fighting and working for. Yes salvation is a free gift available to all, but in order for anyone to receive that gift, they have to unwrap it, take it out of the box and use it. The good thing about the Gift of our faith is that as long as we use it (and not misuse it) it does not wear out, it only gets better with time. As we grow in faith there will be others we will encounter who will soon begin a serious search to find God, at which time we can help them on their journey. Our salvation is simply our cooperating with what God has already won and already provided for us. Between The Mass, The Sacraments, and sacred Scriptures, we have all we need to be saved. All these God provides for us in His Church. God invites us to Holiness. For "Without Holiness no one can see God" . Too Jesus instructs us to "Strive to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect". When we read the word "Strive" it suggests that we need to struggle or work at being perfect. I've been striving for years and still struggling to be improve towards perfection, with a long way to go yet. It isn't easy. Just know that once it begins to bother you that you are sinning, you are on the right path. We should never be comfortable when we commit sin. It should bother us. But that bothering us helps us to begin to avoid it in the future. The choice is yours to do the will of God or not. Sirach 15 : 14 thru 17 "God in the beginning created human beingsand made them subject to their own free choice. If you choose, you can keep the commandments; loyalty is doing the will of God. Set before you are fire and water; to whatever you choose, stretch out your hand. Before everyone are life and death,whichever they choose will be given them. Do consider Listening to sermons by a priest named "Fr Mark Beard". He recently passed away in a car accident. But you can find his sermons on "St Helena Catholic Church website". He was truly a gifted priest. He gets very passionate about his Talks, and he don't pull no punches. But you can learn a lot by listening to his sermons. Don't be discouraged, stay the course. God will refine and purify you, (as He does all of us) but it's out of His great love for us that He does so. Do become a 7 day a week Catholic. God bless I will keep you and your family in my prayers, please keep me and my family in yours.

My dad passed away 5-10 minutes after completing this video. Before his passing, we noticed he was very engaged and emotional while watching and listening to something on the iPad. After he passed, we looked at the iPad and noticed this video. This is something my family and I will never forget.

@@lovesrlady2 As beautiful a prayer as this is, I just now decided to look into the claim of 1000 souls being released by it, as I had only ever learned about it from a prayer card. I found a few articles from reputable Catholic sources that expound upon the claim. Here's one of them: www.romancatholicman.com/st-gertrude-prayer-releases-1000-souls-purgatory/ It would seem that an overly zealous appreciation for the prayer may have lead some within the Church over the last two centuries to ascribe greater efficacy to it than merited. I don't doubt the Divine weight given to our intentions for the holy souls in purgatory, but the author of the article is a voice wiser than my own, and therefore I'm grateful for the temperance of my own incomplete judgment. @@ironymatt I would tend to agree with Father Heilman as I follow him from time to time. He's a good priest. The only problem I have is that he states that the St. Gertrude prayer only take a 15 seconds. The actual prayer is an entire Rosary and you need to be in a state of Grace, etc. But even if he's correct, the prayer itself is beautiful and produces good fruit. When I recite it I don't even consider that it's enough to release souls from Purgatory, I offer my prayers to God for His intentions and His Mother's. Thank you for the information. 🌹

My sins: being judgmental, keeping my hurt , vanity, materialism . Please forgive me and I accept these sins and trying to avoid these now and needs the help of the Holy Spirit

I didn't go to confession when I was younger, I'm 80 yrs old now. I can't get to confession an d now I worry that I won't be forgiven. I try to pray to God to forgive me and I worry that I won't be forgiven. I haven't committed these sins for years. I have lots of concerns and I think Jesus found me this video to help me take away my worries. I try very hard to do the right thing and in most cases I do right. Thank you, you have helped me and now I understand that I may get to Heaven...In Jesus name, I always pray.

Hi Fr Doyle. I've been to Confession yesterday after 3 months without confessing because I lived very far, far away from Church. I feel so happy now and feel like I'm in a state of Grace again. Just repent of: turn away from all sin, be truly sorry before the Lord & then invite Him to live in your heart & be your Saviour & you will then be able to have fellowship with Him: our Creator & go to Heaven when you die!!! Thank you Father! I’m glad to have found your video. I’m struggling with grief over my son. He died suddenly after driving into my driveway. He was 45, & I believe he died of a broken heart, after a disastrous divorce. He & his two children came to live with us after they were forced to leave Colorado Springs after she called the police on them. His last request was for his ashes to be spread in Ulster, so I feel honor bound to take him there. It should be at Maguiresbridge or Inneskillen , when we are allowed to travel again. I’m feeling sorrow to not be able to visit his resting place on a regular schedule, but I fear at my age (80) I will be abandoning him to a place he has never visited! I need to be able to visit to pray for him!

I DOUBT that's God's intention. Sounds more like yours. Have Masses said for him. Take CARE OF THE LIVING (children). Do you honestly think God will have you traveling to the dead, for HIS Grace to be upon your sons troubled life? What IF something happens to YOU? Surely, you can Help the Living. What THEN shall you do for the Dead? Take a chance of something happening to you, so there is no one loving around; to Teach them, care for them, etc? Either, bring your Son closer to you, or devote yourself to his family, which needs you more NOW then ever. God knows your 80 and in poor health. I doubt He wants you galavanting around the country just to make YOURSELF feel better. Think about it. Pray about it.

First Chance you get, go to confession and finish your act of faith Sacramentally. This go direct to God approach to confession is good but as the good father said per the Catechism must be a sincere act of contrition and the Follwed up by a sacramental confession. God accepts all our acts done in love towards Him. Yet as well He established through the gift of His Church all the things necessary for our salvation. Including the Bible which as Catholics we are often neglectful to read or study. I think it was St Jerome or St Augustine who said "Ignorance of the Bible is ignorance of Christ". Pray, Attend Mass, Receive the Eucharist, and Confess your sins, and read the Bible as often as possible. Do these things and God will do the rest.

I spent most my life unhappy and self blaming, until I returned to the Church. Now I feel JOY and Purpose even though I still totally struggle.

Father, you are an ABSOLUTE blessing to my ears. The words you say are the truth, and so soothing and sweet to my soul. May God keep you around for a very long time in this very hurting world. We so need you here (sorry). He abides in you as you certainly abide in Him!

I was always taught that perfect contrition was true sorrow for having offended God, not sorrow because of a fear of retribution.

Yes. But Jesus is more than happy all who turn back to Him for whatever reason. Think of the joy in Heaven when an alcoholic comes to his or her senses. God doesn't say, "Oh wait now, he doesn't have perfect contrition."

Thank you Fr. Thady for this Spirit guided homily. Please pray for my father who recently passed away, that he maybe forgiven of his sins. He was sick for a long time. Twice he received the anointment for the sick but I was hoping he had sincere contrition even he cannot express it verbally. Please include him in your prayers. thanks again Father Thady for another helpful video, I was able to go over some compulsions I struggle with and surrender them to the cross, worry, fear, over eating as in food binges , procrastinating over reading bible etc and praying more

Jesus loves you. He is with you right now. He died so that your sins be forgiven. Follow the video. Then trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of your past sins. Then commit yourself to walking in His ways, and if you are genuinely seeking to break free of sin, trust in God's mercy even should you fall

According to Romans 5:13, Redemption/salvation was only needed by those who had sins imputed to them, which was only ancient Israelites who were under the Old Covenant Law. That's no one alive today

"Jesus was living in me, but I wasn't living within Jesus!" Woah! Such an important message. This perfectly describes the beautiful transformation that has been happening to me in the last few weeks. The Holy Spirit made me aware of all the sins that I was oblivious of, that was inhibiting me from the fullness of a holy life. When you finally make this distinction it's life changing! Thank you father for putting it so clearly for us, you're wonderful!

@@GodsCottage We have two Priests but one is self isolating because he recently got the virus and our other Priest I think got busy preparing for the Mass, but there was a long line of people waiting for confession. Is there a prayer I can pray for other's confession or repentance?

Thank you Father. Your video also 'randomly' showed up on my feeds. I was initially looking for a short feed to pass a little time, and when I stumbled onto your video, which says '38 minutes', I thought to myself may be this vid is too long. I didn't really want to watch it at first, but I did. I didn't know why. I watched for the first 15 minutes last night. This morning when I woke up, I came across your video again still on pause. I unpaused it and then it turned into a full blown confession. A lot came out, from back to even 20 years ago which I felt I may not have dealt with completely. I felt a strong sense of healing and liberation after following your guidance. I will go to a proper confession after this. Thank you again Father for your video has really touched my life and helped me.

What category are you in? Do you speak the language of Grace through FAITH Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB? Are you saved in Jesus Christ or are you lost in the cares of this fallen, forsaken, vile, evil, wicked world? If you do not speak the language of GRACE, you are following another Jesus and are lost!! The bottom line is that, is your soul saved in Jesus Christ? During the tribulation period, those lost souls who are left behind, can get saved but will go through sever persecution and they will have to die for their faith by refusing the mark of the beast 666 and being a martyr for Christ Jesus and getting your head cut off. We are still in the dispensation of the Church Age of Grace, Christ has paid the price for all our sins on the cross of Calvary and He said, it is FINISHED!! Jesus Christ purchased us all, have you accepted His free gift of Salvation? Here's how a lost soul can get saved!! Remember the THIEF on the cross who told Jesus Christ - Please read and understand what I am trying to say. Luke 23:42 KJB - And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Luke 23:43 KJB - And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. The thief on the cross, BELIEVED truly from his heart that Jesus Christ is God and he got saved IMMEDIATELY. Jesus Christ did not tell the thief on the cross, go get baptized in water or go do Christian Science, go to a priest and confess your sins like the Roman Catholics do or Scientology or any other CULT!! On the contrary, Jesus Christ saved the thief right on the cross when he truly BELIEVED from his heart!!!! Salvation is easy to receive but 'RELIGION' complicates it!! Today is the day of your Salvation, NOW is the accepted time because tomorrow is not promised. Salvation is a gift offered to the world by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, yet people complicate it with religion. Here is a message for lost souls - Jesus Christ is God, manifest in the flesh and He came on earth to die for our sins. He bore our sins on the cross of Calvary. Have you accepted His free gift of Salvation? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Have you truly BELIEVED from your heart that Jesus Christ is LORD? Have you BELIEVED in the death, burial and resurrection found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KING JAMES Bible? That's how a lost soul can get saved. Remember that it's NOT what we do that gets us saved, it's what Jesus Christ DID on the cross of Calvary, that's what SAVES a lost soul. All you have to do to be saved, and on your way to heaven is place your TRUST in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ and nothing else, as sufficient for your salvation, (Romans 3:25 KJB - "Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;") (Propitiation means the act of appeasing wrath, Jesus took your place on the cross.) Will you accept Jesus Christ as your saviour by simple faith, simply trusting in his shed Blood which is sufficient to save your soul from hell? The last sentence is all you must do to be saved, and that is FAITH, not works, TRUSTING in what someone else did for you is the only thing that is not a work. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB - 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJB - (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) Take this opportunity NOW and please get saved before it's too late for your soul!! Heaven and Hell are real, literal places. There's ONLY 1 Eternity to choose from, Heaven or Hell, choose wisely for your soul!! Grace and Peace!! Drop everything!! So true...The #1 reason God asks us to love our enemies is because he doesn't want us to have anything else but LOVE inside of our hearts. If we didn't love our enemies it would mean we have given way to grudges which is synonymous to hate.

I can’t tell you father how I was touched by your sermon. However I truly believe that I will make every effort to follow what you suggested to do so that I can live in God and him living in me. I know from the bottom of my heart that I am going to take into heart your examples into through confessions to liberate my mind from the sins committed, the bitterness and pains caused by people that I cannot let go. Dear Father Thady, I know this video is over a year old, but your message is eternal. I'm old and have struggled with sin all my life, being introduced to sin as a very young child. So many of my young years I was afraid or confused about how to come to Jesus for forgiveness. Today, it's still a struggled, but today I am a believer in Divine Mercy, The Rosary, Our Lord's promises, Our Mother Mary's promises. and Many more. I have no delusions about being safe from temptations, or evil itself. But today I have Our Mother, Our Lord, and more. Thank you father for a very special video. I have hurt that I have oppressed for years. Physically mentally verbally and sexual.. praise God he gave me the grace to forgive my ex husband.. please pray for me and my family.

Father Altman I want to thank you for allowing God to use you. I listened to you talk about Jesus being the true vine and us being in Christ. The reconciliation you offered rekindled my faith. I heard this on April 6th, this past Saturday. That night I had no intention of getting up and going to church or even going to a Catholic mass, but because of your message, you restored my hope and so I decided that I was going to go to Mass in the morning. That morning, as I sat down in the pew ready for Mass to begin, it hit me, this is where you come into Christ and become a member of his body. Then something more powerful hit me like a ton of bricks. I was baptized in the Catholic Church and entered the body of Christ on April 7th 1995. And now here I was, 29 years later, to the exact date, on April 7th, the date of my baptism, back in the body of Christ on Divine Mercy Sunday. God's grace is never coincidental nor without purpose but is deliberate and powerful. The homily given that morning explained how the Divine Mercy was for me to put my trust in the Lord. What opened up to me was how you was telling me to lay down my cares so to put myself in Christ and the priest at Mass that morning was telling me how to do it through the Divine Mercy. I am grateful for God's grace and today I remained in prayer and fasting with the words, "For the sake of his sorrowful passion, let us love and have mercy on one another. Help me Lord to lay down my grievances against others, striking down this evil pride." I felt a peace today that I haven't felt in a long time and I'm looking forward to have deeper relationship with Jesus my Lord. God be with you always, sincerely Gene Lamp.
