***** I'm not really proud of it, to be honest. I've been to multiple trainings to get rid of the awkwardness, but all most of them did was teach somebody how to execute an extremely basic dialogue... In the process coming off as if it was scripted. That would only make things worse, I say. I mean, at least I don't come off as robotic to most people I speak to. I've signed up for a new training, though, and I damn well hope this one teaches me something else.

***** truth is everyone says something stupid from time to time. For me (l'm a guy) I just say whatever's on my mind & accept and laugh at it if you know it's weird or seems dumb. Also it can help if you say how you feel like hey I can be shy sometimes or anxious forgive that please. :) trust me esp. If he's a guy he'll usually either be a little nervous too or he'll appreciate you telling him and try to make you feel more comfortable by joking etc.
