The biggest problem with Gable is thry didn't capitalise on him after his match with Corbin. Fans chanting "You're not Angle". They should of used that and give him a mouthpiece or he should of gone with it and said " I'm not Kurt Angle. I'm Gable Stevenson. Deal with it. Kurt only injured his neck whilst wrestling at the olympics. I didn't injure myself and I won. I'm better than Kurt."

They need to stop giving people the freaking ankle lock. It's like every Olympic wrestler is given usa flag gear and an ankle lock. I feel like WWE needs to develope those type of wrestlers a bit more. Could've gave him a manager with a mouth piece like lesnar.

But angle was a different animal. Angle won an Olympic gold medal with a "Broken Freakin Neck ". That's a different level of Warrior.💪 3. He DIDN'T really have that INTENSITY like other amateur wrestlers or mma fighters who crossed over. Bobby Lashley moves look WAY more impactful than anything Gable Steveson does. 3. WWE failed Gable Stevenson by not giving him a proper chance. The guy had only one match in NXT and instead of having him defeat Baron Corbin they opted for him to win/lose via double countout. Then they have him compete on live events instead of live episodes of NXT. Gable Stevenson should have been treated him the same way he was presented and that includes having him appear regularly on NXT, letting him interact with other WWE Superstars backstage, and have him win matches.

@@RomaroBrandon I find it hard to believe that he wasn’t paid even prior to his official call up since the key feature of the NIL contract was that college athletes could now profit off of WWE using their image and when said athletes appeared for promotional reasons (which Gable did a few times) all while still on school. To add to that, WWE went as far as to set up a remote training facility near his campus for his exclusive use. They went farther with him than any other prospect in history thus far. WWE gave him the option to continue his external pursuits but the fact that he chose everything else but improve on his in-ring acumen should tell you everything about his priority list. Don’t forget that while WWE offered the contract, and were extremely generous, Gable agreed to it by signing. He should at least take half the blame.

Wasted… the biggest red flag with WWE is if you have “any” wrestling pedigree or background they immediately throw you in a singlet and it’s Kurt Angle 2/3/4.0… they did it w/ Shelton and Hass. Look at Chad Gable now and it gets old. We’ve seen it! The biggest way to kill off a career is to immediately have someone pigeonholed off jump. The only one they didn’t necessarily do that with was Brock. He came in as a destroyer w/ a wrestling background. I know his in ring performance needed work but more than anything he needed character development so atleast the fans would get behind him. It’s no secret he has the ability. Hope he makes his way back.. 💯💯

WWE during the later Vince McMahon years just didn't plan out anything particularly well. They had so much talent they wasted. With Gable Steveson, they should have let him cut his teeth in NXT for a year or two. Get some hype behind him with a Royal Rumble appearance where he cleans house and gets eliminated but makes an impression. When he finally gets to WWE you make him the Anti Kurt Angle. You turn him into a Brock Lesnar esque destroyer who roughs people up. You then get him in a tag team with someone like Bron Breakker and you have these two guys make a big push for some tag team titles. That should eat up another year, in that 3 years, Steveson should have developed enough skills in that time to start being involved in singles matches on the main roster. From there he can do anything he wants. When you are a destroyer, your mic skill don't need to be great.

It's simply people hating or disliking him just to hate or dislike him no real good reason no one is perfect no one I saw no problem with him all though I will say instead of being the next Kurt angle(even though I have no problem with that either) he could've just have his own gimick

I'm still waiting on the debut...😅 They always hype up the legit performers. Wrestlers, mixed martial artists, football players, even 2nd generation pro wrestlers. Some sink and some swim. Kurt, Mark, Brock, Shamrock was even solid, so I understand why they hype the legit athletes.

He can do MMA for sure, and as long as they don't rush him into the top spot, he can get a lot out of it. That being said, I think it's just a matter of him having some time off and NOT being shoved down out throats as the next big thing for a while, and he can make a return... As Jim Cornette says, how can we ever miss you if you won't go away?

I think black wrestlers need deeper charecter development. They dont really get behind black wrestlers like that unless theynon some new day stuff. If you do your history most wrestling fans are white. Most wrestling fans are racist and the black wrestlers have to truly win them over big time. I believe at times its tough to gain that audience so more times than nought they mentally check out. Not only the facts i shared but upper management have to show some belief in black talent. This is not a shot at anyone white just my personal observation from years of watching wrestling. I mean no disrespect to anyone, So please dont get offended.

Go to UFC man. There hasn't been a wrestler of his caliber at heavyweight since Daniel cormier. He could probably run through a lot of people over there if he was to get some legitimate striking. I don't know if he's a better fighter, but he's a better wrestler than DC was and DC's in the top 10 for MMA of all time. That would be a good alternative route

WWE came with the wrong approaches to Gable Steveson first I believe when Wwe brought Gable Steveson to NXT where he had his first match on NXT Great American Bash the crowd rejected Gable Steveson Steveson that was the first step for them making Gable Steveson a heel in the early stages of his Wwe career Gable Steveson would have many success in WWE in most part of his career as a heel and that is how professional wrestling fans would accept him if they wanted to make Gable Steveson's career similar to Kurt Angle but Wwe also has failed him this guy going to be something big outside Wwe and Wwe will want him back

The issue is they had Brock Lesnar and other superstars endorsing him. Then WWE has the audacity to say he's the next Lesnar. Nobody is the next Lesnar. Nobody is the next Kurt Angle. They just need to find footings. Gabel had no charisma and he was boring on top of living up to such high expectations.
